open beta starts at like midnight gmt on the 1st. but the game is pretty much a piece of shit. the interface is horrible, even tho ppl have been complaining about it for months... like nothing has changed. "enter" is the action key - pretty rough when you move with wasd. there also is no option to remap them. if you plan on playing it on the PC, you'll definitely want to use one of the console controllers. even beyond the interface it's decidedly mediocre i think rift: planes of telara will be better. i believe you can still sign up for the beta at riftgame.com

not picking on anyone, just some pet peeve of mine.. am i the only one that absolutely hates the word "african american"? i'm not an irish american because my ancestors back in the 1700s migrated to the USA anymore than some black person is an African american because they came over in the 1700s or whenever.... regardless of the means.. since when do we go back like 8 generations? im not offended when im called "white".. good lord, just use "black"... theres nothing african american about 95% of these people.. they're americans...
