Yeah I did try a different account earlier. You don't think I screwed up any paths or anything? Like... maybe it is trying to find something on my desktop (where I had it before I reinstalled continuum).

Nope, I've never ran any of my zones from the zones folder. Should I be?

Oh, it's currently in continuum/my test zone. Before it was in subspace/my test zone. This matters? And if so... is there a way to fix it so I can keep the continuum folder called continuum instead of renaming it to subspace?

Hello, I have a zone called Aarbear test. I've been going in and out of it for quite some time... even today. This afternoon I decided to reinstall continuum because I had the subspace folder on my desktop... and I just wanted to reinstall it so everything would be in the correct spot. (programfiles/continuum) I took out all the files I didn't want to be reset, my profiles/macros/banners ecc.) I also took out my zones (aarbear test) folder. So I reinstalled continuum, replaced the new files with my old files I wanted to keep, and I also stuck my zones folder in my cont folder... because thats where i have always kept it. So I proceed to log into my zone... and it doesn't work. The letters are green, everything looks fine. I was able to log into my zone BEFORE I did the whole reinstalling deal. I do not run my own server, somebody else does it for me. Help?

Though interesting, it would bring in a lot of lag issues, and other things like turrets My home zone is Metal Gear CTF. And I know this feature would be an amazing compliment to some of it's events. I'm certainly not a programmer, but if someone can create this 3d subspace you people are working on, I see no way that this is impossible. I know you didn't say it was impossible... but I think it would be a neat thing to try.

To bad no more dev work is being done on 2d subspace, otherwise I'd say that each arena should have the option of ships being able to bounce off of eachother instead of going through eachother.

Yeah man, i have both of those in my zone folder... this is why im so confused as to why this isn't working out for me :/ Starting to think that continuum just doesn't like me :> Is there anything that I must *putfile? Or anything else I could be missing? Because someone else is hosting this zone for me, I just ftp'd the files. So I guess there is a chance I could be missing something vital... althought I did copy EVERYTHING from what I ftp'd.

Ah, I get what you're saying now. Alright, I've got the template.sss file now... but for some odd reason esc+c STILL sends an empty server.set file to me. I tried putting the template.sss in my cont file and *putfiling it. And I also tried just sticking it in my zones folder... if that is supposed to allow me to use esc+c, it didn't work. :/ By the way, I really really appreciate the time you guys put into answer mine/other peoples questions. It's really helpful.

No, I can't seem to find a template.sss file. You know where I can download just that? Also, what should the cfg file be called? Server.cfg? And, how do I make it so that I can edit it through esc+c? Because like I said earlier, right now when I hit esc+c... it *getfiless me and empty server.set for some unknown reason.

I have server.cfg in my zone folder as well. You said to "use" it. How do I use it, what do you mean by that? And should I delete the server.set that is in my zone folder? Also, is this the problem that is making my esc+c menu not function properly? Thanks.

Why is it that when I try to access the esc+c menu in my zone, it just *getfiles me an empty server.set file? So right now, when I need to change a setting, i need to *getfile server.set (if I do it like that, it sends me my actual server.set file, not some random empty one) edit it, and then *putfile it back into the arena... It's a pain in the !@#$%^&*, and I just know I'm doing something wrong. Help please. :>
