You start off very nicely but then you veer off... This is where this fails. Players do not want to do things that require teamwork, skill, time or passion. They are not proffessional sportsmen, they are players. Most of them are kids! They want to have fun. I agree that Devastation is dead and the gameplay sucks but I do not agree with your proposed solution. I think currently most of the block is psychological. People do not want to win jackpots. If the game pace was increased, games would be more fun. There are also many other sides to this issue. The game as a whole is going down the drain, which also affects Devastation. Devastation had a few good weeks just before tm's HDD went bonkers. Tm does not have as much time as he did in 2006 anymore (which is good - I've been telling him to quit wasting his time in Devastation for ages ). Everything in this world is centered on people. Right now, tm is the only thing holding Devastation together. And he seems to be heading towards retirement, as he well should. So, what deva needs is people. Active people who play and invite other players (!@#$%^&* you to !@#$%^&*, spec-afkers!). Gameplay changes are secondary. Tm has done incredible work in this field but he's only one man.
