I got the PM too. I had forgotten about this place. How does the bug get into the system? I know these spambots are getting pretty sophisticated. If full registration protocols aren't in place they can register like a normal user and even include avatars and some details in their profiles. Their posts always gives them away though.

Well Continuum looks pretty cool so I'll give it a go soon. Just wanted to add a comment on my OP concerning the language swap for the game Devastation for anyone else who gets lead here as I did. It turns out there are quite a few files with the .int extension that need to be changed for all the onscreen displays to be in english. The easiest way is to first make a backup copy of the directory. then open a dos window in the ITT folder and type >rename *.int *. itt (enter) Works great. All info is now present and in english. The game still thinks it's the Itallian version but it's only the text that matters. The audio is already english in all versions. I'm not crashing your forum here but since I was lead here looking for this fix I decided there should at least be an answer here for others besides "delete that version and install the US version" that the first poster got. Thanks.

I was brought here bt following a google link to a topic on switching languages in the Italian version of Devastation. That topic has since been locked. The process involves downloading and installing the EURO patch 381 http://www.3ddownloads.com/Action/Devastation/Patches Then renaming the INT folder in the LANG folder to ITT, rename the ITT folder first. Then open the new ITT folder and rename CORE.int to core.itt Done. There may be an easier way but I couldn't find any language options in the set up for the game or the patch. The v390 patch is compatable with all versions of the game and did allow a Eng language selection during setup but most of the game since it was originally the Italian version ended up in German somehow. Go figure. Nevertheless the reason I specify the 381 patch over the v390 patch is because after being patched to v390 I could no longer pick up rifles shotguns ect, in game. Pistols and items sure but not sniper rifles or the ninja sword. Again I was unable to find a configuration option to solve that problem. One minor problem with the language swap I specified is that your loading screen helpful tips no longer work so I guess you will have to find the file with those and rename it with the .itt extension as well. These are simple text files in the LANG directory btw and can be customized quite easily. I haven't noticed any other problems yet with the language switch. Old saved games still have their original names but new saves get english !@#$%^&*les. Thanks. I just wanted to address the original question that lead me here.
