Security:MaxShipTypeSwitchCount is currently set at 20, and yet it allows what appears to be an unlimited number of ship changes to anyone (might not be unlimited but I gave up around 130). I've tested it myself under an aliased, non sysop name, had a normal player test it, had several others test it, changed it to other numbers, recycled the zone, etc. Pretty much tried everything I can think of and still its as if the setting is totally ignored. I know its not the Security:SecurityKickOff setting as that is currently set at 1 and if Security:MaxDeathWithoutFiring is exceeded then you're kicked off and it says in the log thats the reason why. I'm really stumped here. Please help. Thanks, -TerminatioN

I had Jericho look at all the settings and he made some adjustments, but there have been no changes in the problem.

Hi, I'm TerminatioN, current sysop at SSCC RedStar. We are experiencing a problem where players will be kicked out of the zone and are unable to re-enter. Here is what happens: The player will be in the zone for any random amount of time and for whatever reason (my only guess is severe lag), I will get a red sysop message saying "WARNING: Packet flood from" from their IP. Shortly after they will be kicked from the zone. Upon attempting to re-enter they say the client will sit at the black screen as if trying to connect to the zone, but it will stay there for a long period of time, after which they get the error message "Check to make sure that you are connected to the internet and that the server is online." or something to that extent. I get no error message or anything on my side when they try and enter. The only way they are able to get back into the zone is if they can change their IP (which is problematic for some players). I'm not really too knowledgeable on this subject, but my only thought was that it was some kind of security server side blocking their IP that I had no control over. Totally possible I'm completely wrong though. Anyways, does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and/or a possible fix? Thanks, -TerminatioN

The 20 mil games usually bring in at least 20 people. Yes I know its not a lot, but its better than nothing and with 2 teams of 10 it makes for a decent game. Alot? Maybe a few, but not a lot. 20 mil games aren't just about the points, its more of a set time and date where people know there will be a good, long, fun game. Wabbit is only fun for the person who has it.

Starting this coming weekend (May 6th) we will be hosting atleast one 20 mil jackpot game every weekend (usually on Sundays). The exact time will depend on the population, but expect it to be somewhere between 12pm and 2pm EST. Of course events will be hosted and there will be prizing as well as some other nice surprises. We should just ban all zones that aren't SVS. They suck anyways and its not like anyone plays them.

As I said no one cares about your opinion, I made this topic to inform people who have played the zone and like it. I am responding to your flaming posts because I am curious as to why you flaming. My guess is because people play your zone less. Our population plummeted because of lazy staff who never did anything to improve the zone, mainly the dev team. People got tired of the same old map (not the settings). Again, if you don't like the zone, then stfu and go play some SVS zone.

Well if any of you have ever been to RedStar you know that the setts are a lot of fun and the flag games too. But recently our population has plummeted (we won't go into why ). Anyways, I just want to tell everyone that we are putting up a brand new map and hosting a 20mil jackpot game this Sunday (April 15th) at around 11am EST and I would like to ask everyone to come.
