I disagree. First impressions are important. No one will join a squad if the name is stupid or consists of a bunch of symbols. People just expect more these days, especially in the zone I play (DSB) where all the squad names are pretty good. Yeah its silly, and I agree, its not important at all. All the more reason to be in favour of it. Exactly what I'm talking about. It's not a new issue, but it shouldn't be an issue at all. It should be easy to start a squad with a decent name. Also what's the point of owning a squad name and not doing anything with it? This kind of shit is bad for SS.

Any person trying to start a squad knows what i'm saying. It's pretty much impossible to start one these days since there's no names available. No squad names = no squads = SS's death. It's lame as hell people take every name they can and trade them, even worse buy/sell them. Obviously don't reset current or past squads, but names just going unused, why not? shit, even reset all player names with say < 100 hours of usage. Who agrees?

alright here's a quick update this whole thing has been forgotten about since Hoch decided to not pull the plug, but honestly DSB is even more fucked now. I was banned for creating threads bringing the above issues to attention lol. there are many people making efforts to improve the zone but staff ignores it all. It was suggested Hoch decided to keep DSB alive only to kill it quicker, and I'm starting to agree with that. so can SS council get together and purge Hoch or something or can we start our own zone using dsb settings and just call it something else?

The dumbest part of all this is Hoch doesn't even play DSB. I've been around since 2003 and I've never seen him play. Aside from paying for the server I don't think he's really done anything either. Hoch acts like he's important but if he suddenly left DSB it wouldn't matter. No one would care. He should be the last person to be able to make a decision like this. I think Hoch just leads a sad empty life and the only way to satisfy his need for power is through a video game. He doesn't want to give up the only thing he has. That and/or he's a disturbed individual who gets amusement out of controlling people who can't do anything about it, kind of like a child molester or a nazi doctor. Yeah thats another problem. DSB staff are a bunch of useless stiffs. Hoch and Beer Hunter hold the most important positions but they do the least. They know they're really bad but they won't resign because their successors will make them look even worse. It's kinda pathetic.

sarcasm fail... YES, thats exactly what we need more of. You say that like its a bad thing? Stat whoring = more people playing more often. It keeps people interested in playing. People don't play COD and all those games just for the hell of it, they play to get their rank up. I've played Geometry Wars and other Xbox Live arcade games hundreds of times just to beat personal or friends' records. If they didn't have high scores then I probably wouldn't have bothered playing in the first place. The same goes for SS, if it didn't have the high scores site back then I probably wouldn't have stuck around.

yep. simple as that. we dont need to spend money on advertising, upgrade the graphics, change the current gameplay, none of that shit. what we really need is a new player scores site. how hard is it to make a new one? preferably one similar to the old site. TW, EG, DSB and i'm sure more zones already have their own variation, but they're not quite the same. i remember when i started playing the only reason i stayed was because of the high scores. there was actually a reason to play. eventually in a few months i got into squads and league. no wonder barely any newbs stick around now, wtf is the point?

^yeah. im tired of looking at this old ugly icon on my desktop with nice looking ones, so i deleted it. even small changes like these could be good for ss. if a newb downloads the game they'll be like, oh look at this shitty icon, this game probably sucks.

habs are lookin good not gonna lie but to win the east i wouldnt pick them over nyr, pens, or nj. each of those teams have world class goalies and price is pretty terrible at times .

just wonderin WTF happened to the eDome site? i know its been down for a long time.. one day it was working the next day it was gone. would be huge for ss to get that site back, it motivates new players to improve their scores and lots of people only play because of it too. Is it possible?

actually i take that back, odb is good and probably one of the more skilled. i do think gza ghostface and Deck are slightly better though. Deck just doesn't have the same solo success others do. No Remorse, i know what makes a good mc. ive heard some songs from golden arms redemption and they were solid. i've listened to a lot of wu-affiliates and they were really good for the most part.

i like jedi mind tricks but i think vinnie paz is overrated as an mc. stoupe's beats make him look better than he is imo.
