Hehe, I agree with Mas, it is idealistic. But it does suggest some methods for ridding of unattractive elements such as freq hopping and PD/Field unevening teams. -How can you freq-hop with locked freqs? -If players enter in pairs of two, PD and Fields will not interfere will the # of players on each team As for people who quit, replace them with the next people that come along. 1 player down isn't as bad as 10 eh?

First of all, I would like to know if you even looked at the bases before making this post. Otherwise I would deduce we're talking about different bases. What you have posted has in-fact no relevance to the way both bases are made. If you're going to contradict me in the near future, at least expand on more evidence. I no longer base for money. I define basing as rushing, lag attaching or idling in a corner talking to friends. Sitting in a fixed location, holding tab, shooting bombs, Team killing teammates in a repetative motion does not appease to me as 'fun'. I usually leave/spec ere, or when the flag game dulls to this stage. At this moment, I would like you to get in a map editing program, or even spec base 7, and tell me how many blatant bomblines you see. That's right: perhaps two or three, and even at that, they are not located directly one after another as in base 3. If you're counting holes in the walls as bomblines, you should know bomblines can be used both ways: offensively and defensively. Bomblines aren't always on the defenders side. You are only acknowledging the attacking team's point of view. Following the brilliant suggestion you suggested, half of these so called 'bomblines' or holes in the walls, would be deemed useless. Half of the base would be gone, making it 50% easier for the defending team to get to the end of the base. So what if it has a two-sided entrance? I love this part the best, seeing that the walls were actually thickened during the 'nerf'. Somebody must have done their math homework wrong. Perhaps you are not qualifed to judge base 7. Your other arguement in this sentence is entirely ridiculous. Tacnuke has have huge prox range. Even in center safe-lamers can make a couple hundred kills by launching this bomb into the general direction of center. Fancy that, I hear you saying that by arguing, I am making a unfavorable impression. But what is to be argued that is edged in black and white? To do so would be to make myself a fool, and offer an insult to your knowledge. Now, I would like you to take a look at base 3, and point out how many bomblines you can see pitted one after another. Which base is a 'bombline' base? @ the rest of your paragraph: There are flaws in much of your reasoning, but I no longer have the stamina to point them out.

Agreed. Upgrades to the team lancastor, however, would make the position a tad bit more exciting. Most people don't like to anchor; upgraded guns, bombs, recharge rate, speed, or whatever else is merely an incentive to do a better job, and stay alive longer. Common Sense. As for arena prizing, I do agree with you wholeheartedly. It may be a bit of spice, but perhaps a bit too radical. Like oil and water, the experienced players would rise over the newer ones creating more rants no one wants to deal with, or make. I do, however, trust our the majority of our moderators to be wise enough to prize just enough. A couple more decoys, rockets, portals, and maybe even a small recharge or energy bonus can bring no harm eh? Afterall, we all are looking forward to this day. We should have an subarena with bases made just by Aquarius and select others who know how to map, especially designed for pub day.

Three is one of those bases, with 'bombline after bombline'. I hate it. --- 7 isn't bad. It's a bit too good. The middle bombline is a bit strong, but base one has a two-sided entrance (bad for defenders) to make up for it. Although Aquarius has already provided a 'nerf' for it.

I like this guy. He seems nice. Too bad we lost his interest. --- The problem with HS is that no real rules are set to guide events such as the infamous 'pub day'. Here are some future suggestions for moderators to consider: 1. Creating teams: -Two Captains, the best two players online. Perhaps a small reward would be favorable, for example giving the captains upgraded bombs, and guns. Another option is locking these two captains in lancastor, but giving both ships bonuses as described before. {Has to be someone familiar with who is good, and who is not.} -Captains choose players until both frequencies reach 10 players. {This takes care of stacked teams, if done right, teams should be perfectly even.} -Randomization of rest of players in spectator mode. {Fluff.} -If sorting is done on public frequency 1, and 0- immediately lock teams after the sorting. -Make sure PD does not contribute in the unevening of teams. It would be wise to 'ban' PD until teams are sorted out. -Putting players in locked teams would help operations run smoothly. 2. Gameplay: -Remove flags, and put both teams in ships. -Warp all ships to the center safe, while reseting all ships; Put flags in game. -Set jackpot to 200K. {Let the games begin.} 3. Entering the event (after it has been started): -Players should enter in pairs, hopefully both players relatively even in experience. {I know, I'm an idealist} -Mods should actively attend to make sure the skills on each team are even. If done correctly, pub day will seem more like an event. At the same time, the issue of stacked teams will not be a problem and this will result in less prizings to help the 'lame' team out. However I think arena prizings at the beginning of event would be nice. 90% of the people die within the first 30 seconds anyways. This would also promote people to be lancastors in order to ac!@#$%^&*ulate bounty, seeing that lancastors usually don't die often. My suggestion.

No, that's good because flag games would take longer, people would win more money, and it would be a challenge to win flag games.

Then why is it that D1st0rt and I have never heard any complaints about Sharpflame before this? Sorry, that argument doesn't hold water. If anyone has a problem with staffers, then bring it first to D1, and then to me. Since no one has done that, nothing can be done. I have asked of Sharpflame to stop his childish behavior long ago. I tell him time and time again. I have talked to Masaru when I was angry that Sharpflame changed the gun speed of his terrier to kill me while I was reccing. I remember Bloodvenom telling Rareitanium about Sharpflame's lag exploit. I remember Aoi Sakuraba complaining to mods about this lag exploit as well. Sorry, that rebutal doesn't hold much water either. We have brought these matters up in private, but things usually don't get done. I'm sure many players find it intimidating to talk to figures of such high authority, especially considering the high administration is rarely on and when they do, there is something more important on thier minds. At this point, where most of the posts have been deleted by administration, I would like to invite everyone to notice the !@#$%^&*le of this thread. I do not understand why it was censored so strictly.

And what gets me, is that players report mods and go online to say stuff and give proof about these mods abusing time after time and as NeoGolem has stated, "what happens? Nothing." This is why problems with moderators can no longer be brought private, but must be made public to force administration into action instead of sweeping the problem under the carpet. And you know what, Doc is right. I sat in the transwarp, depeleted my energy and waited to be killed. I was fuming mad at the moment, so my action was rash. I suppose every other player would to, if there was a ~500 bounty turret in center wiping out every player and everyone on the turret getting rich. Everytime you try to damage it, it warps away. I'm positive many other players saw it too. Whenever the energy got below 1K, Aquarius and he lanc that has TW p!@#$%^&* simply warps away. Then again, who am I to speak to you.

Zephiod you have the wrong person. I did not get 230 bounty yesterday from using that lame glitch. I hold myself higher than that. :/ You may have me confused for the turret which got ~500 bounty each turret and had to be cobalted in order to kill it. Also ?tw throws out all the fun in reccing. Haha, after reading deathmonger's post he also has included me in there. I really did not. :X

For center: everyone is packed into that little box. It's like fish in a barrel. All you do is get salvo jav or levi and thor the !@#$%^&* out of them. No fun at all. What happened to centering? All of the old bases had one thing in common- balance. 5 and 4 have WAY too many bomblines and are WAY too good. The flag rooms are thor proof and it's almost impossible to get through them without repi!@#$%^&*ion of fields and bricks. Just count the number of bomblines and gunlines that are packed into them. Point proven. Also it needs variety, most of the time it's moving one bombline to second one. Base 5 has this KILLER bombline at the bottom left, near the end, which is impossible to get through if the enemy is set up. You can't even brick it, there is a fly through gfx that prevents it. As i've stated before, a bit flashy. Sorry, Sharp..not saying your bases are bad, they're actually good..way too good. Needs balance, It's no fun attacking a base that gives defenders a supreme advantage and enemy has to buy fields and bricks over and over to get through it. Base 2 and 6 are alright. They're both sorta balanced. Both have a moderate amount of bomblines filled with tunnels and gaps inbetween. A lot of the bomblines are just random holes and very minor. My recommendation would be to fill up some of them up. I would say keep the small gaps that allow sharks and javs to rush though. It keeps base 6 balanced. Overall these two bases are decent. Again, just my opinion.

Bases 4 and 5 need nerfing. Fact is, they are TOO good. Needs immediate balancing. The tiling looks cool when you first look at it, but now they hurt my eyes. I still prefer the old bases where each base maintains one "element" of tiling. Again, just my opinion, but I'm sure many will agree.

Haha, Nope i wasn't near a safe at all. I ran my !@#$%^&* off most of the time had 3-5 people chasing me. :] That post was directed towards the suggestion that the old weasel took skill and was a good centering ship- It still is. These stats prove people can tame weasel, and weasel doesn't suck, it just has an ugly cover. People just have to take the time and effort to do it. By the way, EMP doesn't really kill..It only maims. It does 150-250dmg compared to the regular 500-750dmg a bomb any other ship uses. EMP isn't very powerful, you people just think it's annoying. I agree with all of you. Here is my solution: Buy Faraday. It's 10K and there for a reason.

My earlier post, I lied. I got 65:0 in center 3 days ago. I got 50:0 yesterday. I got 90:0 today. The emp time is fine. It makes Faraday worth buying. If we did anything to the emp, it would make faraday unless and almost obsolete.

Lol, just give up. No-one is doubting you, but even still you can't hand out money to players who claim they lost money over a crash. It sets a precedent for further cases. Additionally, we can't tell to honest players to the manipulative ones.

Yeah, miss respawning bricks. I'd rush with ship 5 though if that happened. Then again as you stated, ship 5 is one of the worst ships at the moment.
