Already tried that path. While it works, it's terrible. The direction pad is very jerky and that was never the case with the previous joystick support.

Sil, Once again correct on all points. It's the Logitech Dual Action. USB. No need for drivers. Under View then Keyboard/Controller Defs... I have the Joystick/Gamepad option checked. I've tried putting joystick commands in the default profile key and also in one called "joystick". For example, I'd like Button 1 on the pad to fire bullets. I press Bullet in the above section and press that button and absolutely nothing happens.

Sil, That is all correct. It used to work, years ago, with my MS Sidewinder gamepad. I also once had it working about a year ago when I dropped in for a day or two to see how things were evolving (with the Dual Action pad). Nothing I do now can get Continuum to see the buttons. Controller properties shows all buttons reacting. MAME works fine with it. Other games I have, no problem. Continuum just acts like it's not there at all.

Guys, I'm an old-timer. I've been away a long time but I go back to the original builds of Subspace (and worked with Virgin Games when it was published). I've just recently gotten back to Continuum and wanted to use my gamepad. I know most don't like them but I do. It used to work fine but now simply will not function. I see posts from others with no real answers on this. Yes I have the option enabled. Yes the pad (Logitech Dual Action) works in every other joystick game. It just won't work here. I can't get the input page to acknowledge any input from it. Is there some reason anyone can point to for this? Is there perhaps a work-around that I could edit some CFG file manually, for example, and make it work? I just 100% more comfortable with the pad over my keyboard so if it doesn't work with the pad I just can't play. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
