  1. I'm partial to nVidia as well. You do definitely need to up the PSU. 400Watt a must, or better. Good idea to leave atleast one slot space between the video card and any other devices you have installed as well, since it will need lots of air flow around it.
  2. You can order a copy of the Windows MCE '05. There is no retailing of this however, since microsoft holds the position that: "...the average user cannot install and stup Windows MCE, due to its complications."

  4. Hmm, maybe I'm thinking of another game. Let me check it out. http://www.oblivionsource.com/
  5. I might be interested in a few of these items. I'm running a 2GHz P4E and I have been for a while now. I would love to upgrade a lil'bit. feel free to send a message to me with some details on what you're selling. I'm mostly interested in the RAM and that case you have. As for XPCs, I could take'em or leave'em. They do tend to run hot. I only like tower chasis better for the space. XPCs like those through Shuttle are too crampt.
  6. I type quite well also, and I was offered this class in my Junior High School. I found it to be respectible in this light: There is a true-to-form methodology in typing. You have a "natural position" as they called it then, in which you place your fingertips so that the keys are found to be reached easier. I never quite understood that the class rwas graded by this simple arguement, since everyones' fingers and hands work similarly but differently. I would say that if you have never typed before and would like to learn a method to it, then this class is more for you, but for the major population out there who have typed before and have their own style, the class has no point. In other words, for most of us gamers, I agree.
  7. You know, I found (though it is quite dated now) that for its time, NFS Porche Unleashed was quite the eye candy. Also, as for Oblivion, I would like to add to the arguement that I have played it and find it also to be a little on the boring side. Yes, the realism is fantasic, the art is amazing sometimes (with the right hardware), but it's a trade-off for gameplay and story. I compare it to GuildWars, which artistically is beautiful in itself, (not as much as Oblivion however) and has a lot more to do. Unfortunately, most people I encountered on Oblivion treated the game as some huge chatroom more than anything else. I don't know about any of you, but I find it a lot more alluring if the game has social elements, but is not based around socializing. I know the point of MMORPG's and the like is to be more social, but you shouldnt sacrifice to fit that need.
  8. Steig, you probably remember me as a frequent patron of the RedStar arena. Your idea, that there should be more ASSS Linux servers, I heartily agree with.
  9. Hillarious you guys. As for bicycling, I used to ride all the time, before I moved from Florida. I once or twice made a round trip, taking about 10 hours, amounting around260 miles.
  10. Ain't that the trueth. My suggestion is that someone should do it for free, for fun even. I would! Except, I am not much of a programmer.
  11. "Well there isn't anything we can do about it. Until someone comes along to reinvent the wheel (produce a crystal clear clone of Subspace), this community is in a definate downhill. ;o "-LC Nonsense. All you have to do is keep a good old machine up and running for the sole prupose of playing the game. I recommend looking for an old beater in the range of 200MHz or so, check your local thrift stores and such. I have successfully run subspace on a 486DX4~100MHz machine with 64MB RAM. Now that's saying something!
  12. Quite a hobby, a friend of mine would probably be quite interested in that one. I don't really have hobbies, for the time being, but I do play other games. Brief List of games I play: Guild Wars, Half-Life, SubSpace, Command And Conquer, Age of Empires (series), etc. As far as hobbies, I have played in a mariacci band, rebuild a few automotive engines, built a few gas-powered RC vehicles, and some more. Oh, and I recently made my own gear-shift knob for my truck.
  13. I picked up a copy of CnC, The first decade the other day and was both impressed and disappointed. Generally, it run comfortably on any machine above 800MHz. However, though the games do run with good aspect ratio on the new systems, they didnt fix the display resolution issues of the original versions. This can be annoying to say the least. It comes with every version of Command and Conquer to date, including Generals with the Zero Hour expansion. Lots of fun. Also you should try the Guild Wars series. Its free to play, you only buy the liscense. It reatails for between $44 and $50, but I have found it as low as $12 online, new.
  14. Security risks? I never recommend relying on software firewalls and such. Always use a hardware firewall. Too many worm-filled cans to be opened with software firewalls.
  15. I have played this game for a very long time, actually plenty long enough to be called a loser ten fold over. Never once have I cheated. I think the reasonable behavior is obvious, and I think that indefinite nebanning is reasonable. Cheaters really do ruin the game for most patrons.
