  1. Don't worry. I remember you Requiem. Lols... from 6 years ago. My god I feel old now!
  2. I actually cannot believe you still f'ing play Kentbrockman. The only reason I'm on this forum right now is cus someone sent me some lovely porn in a PM. I actually didn't realize my account was still kept :S
  3. only idiots think war come without consequences for both sides. now as for her.. well i think she can make a point without using those kind of pics
  4. Um why just US women here?? Well heres what i think, sure the girls here are probably hornier or fatter. But the girls in Europe dont' shave (ya thats rigth you want to see a womens pits?) and the big style right now there is to wear feathers. Ya feathers are dumb (exp feathersin your hair, boas etc.)
  5. You know its no surprise that saddams been caught. Us intelligence is very capable and will catch Bin Laden as well. But its destroying Alqueida (i spelt that wrong I know) thats the tricky part. How do you stop ppl beleiving in God? Well I say god because they beleive in it so strongly that it is like beleiving in god.
  6. Ew thats gross apple. oh -*BAD WORD*- the mental pictures... i lost my appe!@#$%^&*e.
  7. I'm sure you have a valid point, but you sound too much like my teacher and i keep on zonening out. sorry. Although << Again, the problem as I stated remains. They can't make the tough decisions>> your probably pretty acurate there. Although its probably because the media decides to show this side.
  8. The only problem with saying that is, is that back then they haden't yet come up with the idea of peacekeepers. Its not that they didn't want to, they just didn't have a proper plan to. The idea of Peacekeepers was proposed by Lester B Pearson (canadian) who won the nobel peace prize for his work. He was the president of the general !@#$%^&*embly in 1952 which around that time he proposed the idea of peacekeepers. They were then first used in the Suez Canal crisis (sucssefully) which was in 1956. So to sum up Canadians Rule and they had no proper plan of using soldiers back in the 2nd and 1st World War. You can't just send a bunch of soldiers into an area.
  9. Don't be a smart -*BAD WORD*-. I know that. It can also mean its history (as i remebering their heritage). But directly translating I will rememeber is Je me souviens. They also use that for all they're posters about remeberance day. So think b4 you post something on this forum please
  10. lol Well i can't say i like the Aussie national anthem. I've never heard the NZ anthem. I like the France national anthem the best
  11. By the way I have no clue on how this got to be a disscussion on whether or not the US is right about Iraq and about the usefullness of the UN. Or even about fries. *Don't bring the fries into this! They're innocent!*
  12. Because our current flags (both Aus and NZ) have the Union Jack incorporated as a symbol of the authority of the crown. You may note that the republic members of the commonwealth (for example South Africa) do not. It's really only a matter of symbolism, such as changing the number of stars on the American flag to keep them in line with the number of States. I wasen't really thinking when I said that. I meant that Australia had continually been trying to change they're flag (unsuccessfully, obviously). Then the year I was living there they jumped ahead to having a referendum about whether or not they should seperate from the monarchie of England. I just thought it was a little silly that they should do that, when they haven't even sucssefully been able to change the flag. And I was talking solely about Australia and not NZ.
  13. If you have such a huge problem with this thread then don't go. I told you before remeberance day was coming up (but its today, but at the time it was comming) and i was just noticing the differences of back then and now. Yeah i suppose if you want to simplify its another pro/con for millitary. But regardless to what you may beleive this isn't specifically about the americans. And I don't remeber saying 'did you lose a loved one in the war' so stop bugging me about the !@#$%^&*le. Now don't make me repeat myself again and stay out if you have such a huge problem with this
  14. Ah yes i see where your comming from now. I had forgotten about that. You know I see that as you guys trying to get the world to give you attention. Thats probably really offensive to you, i'm sorry and maybe not accurate at all. And besides our countries values are different. I will look forward to your re-evaluation, although by then you might have to email me cus i might not still be on this. I think Australia's involvement in Iraq was based on Australia's alliegance(sp?) with the US. The US did a lot for Australia in WW2 and our defense is still tied to the US. We have 235 million muslims living in an unstable country right next door. Sure...they may not have an air force or navy, but one day they might. Australia on the other hand is a country of 19 million peeps who like to surf and have bbqs and stuff like that. So I think the Australian governments policy is to scratch Uncle Sam's back coz we might ask him to scratch ours some day. The main way that this was achieved was by Australia providing a small but substantial contribution that would have hopefully convinced uncommitted nations that there really was a 'coalition of the willing'. Its like saying 'hey...look...we are willing to put our bbq tongs down and fight for freedom....How about you cheese eating surrender monkeys pull your finger out too?' Canada on the other hand has the benefit of living next door. Who'd mess with Canada when your next door neighbour has more nukes than everyone else combined? So Canada can afford to sit back and take it easy and just be a moral crusader - which is fine by me. The world needs more of 'em. By the way. In what way do you see the values of Canada and Australia as different? Monte I can understand the way you aussies are thinking towards Iraq. It dosn't surprise me that i'm wrong. I'm glad i'm wrong. Although you mentioned that we can afford to sit back while the USA handles things. Our view on Iraq is different to America. We don't like war and don't want to jump into it if we have to. (it costs millions and jean chretien already voluteered us to peacekeep afghanistan, we can't handle War and the peacekeeping missions were on) If the UN decides that we should go to war then we will back the UN and go to war. Although we might be friends with the US we don't always see eye to eye. We aren't sitting back and letting the US do our 'dirty work for us', its just we don't agree and its more affordable to keep out of it.
  15. Oh ignore me then
  16. You're kidding me, right? Tell me it's a taunt, not your actual thoughts. Ok, i'll go on and naively think you're baiting me into a long rant about US expansionism, paternalism, etc. I might have to agree with bachus there. Cus I can't understand why America would ever want to meddle in Quebecs affairs. You have Louisiane. I am confused on your angle MM.
  17. I'm glad you care. As far as i am concerned about veterans adn remeberance day, theyre isn't enough consideration and remebering for them. I'm probably the only one out of all my classes whos actually going to ceremony. Although i'll admit freezing my -*BAD WORD*- off isn't what i'd call fun. Anyways i hope everyone spends a minute tomorow remebering.
  18. To Bueshtak I do agree that our main concern shouldn't be a bigger millitary force. Although to get a bigger economy we need more people. I don't think many people know that were underpopulated for this country. Ever wonder why we have so many immigrants? ONE of the reasons is that the people here and now aren't uh... making enough babies. Well while the okanagan is nice it still isn't all that warm during the winter. Take the coast! Although the fruit is good. Although the Ogopogo thing is old. To madhaha No i didn't try to imply that america was going all comando. I suppose i should've kept as just yes or no or not sure. I say army cus its a habit. I mean it as millitary but you can percieve it any way you like. Again i think millitary is something that is needed to a point. And this really has not much to do with millitary except that it was invovled! What does it matter!? There is a connection. To Manus Celer Dei Well you used your army as soldiers in Lord of the Rings, thats important lol. jk. My parents are firends with a guy who is in the NZ army. I think hewould dissagree but since hes living in Africa right now and has been to Antartica and lived in Aus. for a year at the same time as us i think that would prove NZ isn't all bad. When its Anzac it thinks its good. But then its been too long since i've been to Aus. or NZ. 'God save the queen' i wouldn't recomend you meet an aussie with that. Although its been awhile since the seperation vote. I ask you why do you start with changing the flag!? Uh but i shouldn't go into to that. I'm so out of date. Omg thats all! I'm sure somewhere up there i've contradicted myself (i didn't mean to) I don't mean to offend anyone!
  19. Ah so where do i begin To MonteZuma 'Millitary is a necessary evil' is probably best describing it in my mind. Athough not everyone would call it an evil. 'Canada best army' means a lot comming from an aussie. Although its been awhile I don't see much wrong with The Anzacs (maybe the cookies). We do have waves and the largest rip tide in the world. But i guess compared to you.... To dr uniburner I don't think Canada needs a larger millitary force. Although I do know we need more money to support what we have. Peacekeeping is what we should keep to for the moment. (I hope nothing comes up that requires us to go to war) To X_Paine o/ No matter how much we might hate the millitary it is sometimes necessary. Not all countries are first world contries therefore might not have an open view on things and try to force upon people religion, values, gouverment etc. But then you probably knew that To Akai My dad has a sword and the handle has shark skin on it (to have grip even when wet) To Bacchus Now that i'm in Alberta and not in Ontario i'm not looking at the Quebec license plates anymore . I was wondering whether is was souvien or souvenir ( i was also waiting for someone to pick up the mistake). A stupid mistake (i've been in french immersion all my life). We are on a potentiel hit list for Alqueada (i know i spelt that wrong) so we can be attacked. But we aren't exactly on the verge of war. Souvenir que je veut que Quebec reste avec Canada! C'est une belle province!
  20. Moving every 2 years! I'm not sure where i'll be next year so i'm not sure where i'm graduating! I gotten to live in Australia for a year! uh... so i'm not sure, you be the judge
  21. lol well whether i like them or not my dads in the army so i'm stuck moving around with him.
  22. Remeberance day is comming up! So I'm wondering about the armys of today! Ok as you can guess from my name i'm from Canada and so our millitary isn't as involved with wars as others armies are. We do tons of peace keeping and Jean Chretien (our prime minister) doesn't give the army enough money to support itself. My point being there is so much money that has to be sunk into the army to keep up with new technologies, amo, equipment, food, etc. Is it worth it? It is worth every penny in my mind. Well maybe not all the pennys but all the same. Our army is always peace keeping and helping others! Why should Jean CHretien make numerous promises about an raise of allowance only to lie (well he did give money but not nearly as much as he had promised)! And now they have to lay off people! The media continues to be entertained as they tell half stories which make the army look like crap! The USA opinion and Army situation would be different and so I want to hear your opinions on this! (Canadians and anyone elses opinion is wanted too of course)
