This is awesome news! The zone is coming back to life. It can only get better from here.

I agree with the bases closer. Could we also throw in flags? I remember when they had the flags inside the bases. Its always fun having flags to boost your score for bouncing bullets. Wether the flags are in set positions or you can grab them and bring them to your base, I dunno. Maybe both. I like the taking them to your base idea but in the past 17th has just had them in set pos!@#$%^&*ons which isn't bad. Just some people tend to not care about getting them then.

So is Delic going to get this position or is this post just a Wish?

Whoever is going to be next should be put in soon. I think Delic will get the show on a role.

Nothing Defeats those good ol' days. Is there nothing we can do to rebuild it? Don't you guys remember how awesome rumble matches were with like 20 javs in the game. Even when we had rumbles going we could go to the public and there would always be a game going on.

Here is a screen shot from about 2 1/2 years ago... When the zone was extremely awesome. We need to put it back to this somehow! I miss it tons. The setting of this screenshot: I (wobbly) told everyone to attach for a Jav squad and had about 12 total. Bran Man was among us but switched freq's and then told his freq to be Levi's. Well, we no longer were able to smother the zone and the Jav squad was broke up. This is a shot from the middle of our fun.

What if you combined the flags into the soccer bases? People would have both flagging and soccer. Besides its nice to have bonus points for getting flags but the top base is way out of the way.

I Personally like events more than the public but the public is fun also. I don't want anyone to think that I'm anti-events <_< . In fact thats mostly what I play. I think all the input that has been said is good. But if you look at other zones one of their main attractions is the Public arena. Not events. If new players join into a game they don't instantly go to sub-arena events. When I first started playing back in 2001 I didn't even know how to join a different event let alone fly my ship around. Now I'm not saying that weekly events are bad. In fact I feel the current staff right now is doing a good job fixing the zone. It's an awesome idea and when implimented correctly will boost the zone, but I am saying that the public should be your major attractor. That is where all the experienced players come from. A good example of this is the most "popular" zone. Trench Wars. Now I'm not to big of a trench wars fan but a lot of their events involve their public arena. They have a lot of maxed out public arenas and MOST of their experienced players play public too. I think its awesome seeing Emblazon playing public. That helps players see that even the staff likes their own arena. Maybe I'm incorrect.. I've never ran a zone before but from a player's point of view this is what I see. Input?

How is the zone doing currently? Are more people coming or is it still very slow? Do you think making a smaller public arena would bring more users?

This zone used to be blasting with action and I have screenshots of Public going crazy. I would think that people would come back when they saw it get fixed and put back online. How long was the zone down for?

How long do you think it will take for the zone to be as popular as it used to be?

I was wondering if you needed any help sooner or later? I haven't been on 17th for almost 2 years due to other !@#$%^&*ignments and I am ready to come back full fledged by September 22. I really miss the zone and it made me sad to see that there are very few people there. When I left there were nearly 60 people on everyday. What can I do?
