  1. This is just sad. There are at least hundreds of players who like to play in DSB occasionally, some of them very actively. Then this one (1) guy gets a shutdown idea, totally against what everyone else in the community want but he puts himself above everything. I haven't seen anyone fully support him and I don't see why anyone would. Not even the DSB staff members have voiced any support for him in this one. Too bad the torch was passed on to him when the old sysops left, he has no intention to do the same.
  2. The logmaker has a bug that stops updating the date if you have the same player name in two or more profiles and you are using it to log for that name.
  3. I've mentioned this before but here it goes anyway. It would be nice to be able to define areas, name them and then use it in chat with something like %area. The definition file could have something like this: 500,500 -> 520,520 : safety zone When you are located there and write: I'm afking at %area It would come out as: I'm afking at safety zone That's it. Simple, but I could use it.
  4. The LogMaker program was made by a friend of mine, he was kind enough to make it for me when I told him how it can be done and how much I hate to write the log names. (I'm too lazy to do it ) It's a very simple program really. It's funny how you guys say that you need to add .log extention. You don't have to do it. All you need to do is WRITE the .log or whatever extention you want after the year.mm.dd (or whatever date format you choose) You could write there something like dd.mm.yy.log which would show day first, then month, then year with 2 digits and the .log extention. Like 16.02.05.log Some instructions were written in README.txt but I guess no one reads those I suggest you read atleast the basic steps how to use it. The program launches automatically Continuum.exe in the same folder. So if you use it with pr.0.39 then just rename the 0.39 exe file to Continuum.exe and it works just as well with it. Anyway, I put the program here: http://www.cs.uku.fi/~pietarin/LogMaker.zip There is one small bug. If you use it to log for a name that you have in two or more profiles it doesn't work. edit: the LogMaker program pinned over here is the OLD version. I guess you couldn't use the extentions because of that. hehe. Throw that one away
  5. Thanks, I'll try do that. edit: w00t thanks. I just used: B-200,200,IMAGE0,TopMost,EnterArena,500,0 instead of the: -200,200,IMAGE0,TopMost,EnterArena,500,0 ...and it's the same thing. Just that this now works with new buildlevel and the lvz file size is smaller. (And I thought there was no good reference point to right side of screen. I was blind.) Still have the second problem though.

Two problems: 1) When I try to place an image to right side of screen using the newest Buildlevel.exe the picture is not there when I enter zone and dl the lvz. example: Outfile=something.lvz File=Picture.png [objectimages] IMAGE0=Picture.png [screenobjects] -200,200,IMAGE0,TopMost,EnterArena,500,0 That doesn't work. New Buildlevel makes the lvz with no errors, and it does contain the picture... but I can't see the image in my zone if I use the "-200" x-coordinate that is supposed to place the image at the right side of my screen. Picture appears normally at left side if I remove the minus. And yes, I had this problem with the NEW buildlevel. I got this working with the old BuildLevel(0.37) without any problems. Did I do something wrong there, or is it a bug? Now to my 2nd problem... 2) Picture doesn't stay on longer than 6 minutes and 50 seconds when I set it to stay on longer. Outfile=something.lvz File=Picture.png [objectimages] IMAGE0=Picture.png [screenobjects] 200,200,IMAGE0,AfterGauges,ServerControlled,100000,1 When I turn on the picture with "*objon 1" it stays there for almost 7 minutes, when it should stay there much longer. The time was 60000 originally, so the picture should stay on for 10 minutes, but it goes away before reaching 7 minutes even if I set it higher like 100000... and the old Buildlevel(0.37) didn't save me this time. What I have done/checked: -subgame2.exe gives no errors -neither buildlevel gives errors -I have restarted my computer, and redownloaded newest Buildlevel These things sound so simple, yet I can't get them working... maybe I'm missing something because I'm tired. I would appreciate help.
  7. I changed my warp key from insert to the button above tab (don't know what it's called ) Anyway, it works fine except when I am writing some text. Whenever I have some text written in the text line, it doesn't work. It sucks because I can't warp away when I am writing something and a typekiller comes to kill me. Can it be fixed somehow?
  8. Sounds like something that is useful and doesn't take too much time to implement in game. Don't underestimate these little things, and stop bashing people who make suggestions. Some people here like to boost their ego or have fun by shooting suggestions down. That's just sad. You can just stfu and ignore the thread if you don't like it.
  9. I'm sorry, was there something wrong with my english there. English is not my first language... so, maybe I'll write my next post using my languge. Then you don't have to look at such mistakes.

I would like to add another thing in the endless wish list (maybe Priit will take a look at the wish list before next decade ) I was thinking about arena size and how often some arenas are full, but there can be more spectators than players in those arenas. When deciding arena size you have to think what is a good maximum number of players PLAYING in the arena. But sadly, the spectators can fill the arena so that it doesn't work like it was supposed to. So what I would like is this: Separate spectator and player numbers in arena so you can limit things in a more smarter way. I guess you could make a limit for the "total" arena size too (spectators + players) if you think there is some need for it.
  11. I know the common opinion is that nothing will be implemented from all the things you see at dev board. But sometimes progress happens, even in this game. I'll just rather post ideas than keep it to myself. Even if there is only a very small chance that it will happen. :? I don't really expect Priit to put it in the client... but hopefully it will be put to server side then. That seems to be more realistic to hope :wink:
