  1. Not really, they just have a link in their game saying if people vote they'll get points to use in game. Really lame thing to do actually.
  2. Everyone should just relax. What he's really doing here is a favor for us. Anyone with any sense is going to look at his obvious negativity towards continuum/subspace on subspace.net and in turn check out continuum. All the people with little sense will just take the words there as gold and check out galaticmelee. It's a win win situation for us, free advertising and more importantly, we'll be getting people with higher intelligence whereas they'll be getting all the sheep.
  3. Great job Polix. How about we digg that website? But instead of tossing it up there right now, start spreading the word around all the zone's communities that it's going to be digg'd, giving non-digg members time to register, but make everyone aware, that way we can get 300-600 digg's and get the word out even better. P.S. If you could use some help with anything Polix let me know, I'm interested in helping continuum not just promoting TW alone.
  4. Well, your zone has PriitK and Pure_Luck. DoCk> never wanted to be on council or anything to do with it, so be lucky you have even Pure_Luck stepping up and joining it, which was more just to have an active TW rep. That is great that you run TWD, but what about fin1 who runs all of EG's leagues? Or Demishadow, blur, and I think nelson and mauler, who run the biggest and longest running league who has it's own zone, Premier League? No offense, but they have just as much reason, if not more in Demi's case, to be on council. I myself choose not to, although I have been told I should rejoin, as it really serves no purpose to me. I do what I need for my websites, and involve my staff and members in what I need rather than the council. It takes a shorter time to get things decided and done that way. Like working to get IGN to do another review or even article on SS, would of been ages of discussion, and no action. Here, I talked to a few of my staff, and got the idea rolling the same day. So really, it honestly is kind of a waste of your time to think about it is all I'm saying. Yeah, I'm not certain but I don't think Dock> plans on ever returning to this game. Priitk has his own priorities as well. I wasn't trying to imply that I was most deserving to join the council, just that I believed I met the requirements and that I'm interested, is all. As for TW already having an active representative, that is indeed true, though my own personal feeling has always been that because TW has at least twice the population of the 2nd most populated zone, it ought to have twice the representation. As for the slow process of getting things done, I can understand that, I was mostly interested in helping with the grunt work you guys do helping the public. Anyways, I guess the next step to take in this endeavor is to introduce myself to those already on the council, so thanks everyone for the input.
  5. I just checked it out for about 5 minutes, it's fantastic. Very original, unfortunately there was no one playing at the time but I'm guessing because it's late.
  6. I'm not hung up on joining to feel important, so it won't be the end of the world if I'm not offered. Truth be told I've already helped out my zone quite a bit though I think I can do more. I believe I already meet the requirements for joining SS council. I'm only a Smod, but I believe http://twd.trenchwars.org might qualify me for the latter of the requirements but if not, well hey at least I tried.
  7. Hey Blue, I'm having difficulty contacting you and since you've replied here I figured I'd reply here as well. My initial question was about how you guys determine whom is acceptable for joining SS Council. I'm interested in being a billing op and from what I've gathered to even be considered for the position you must first be on the SS Council. I do recall reading a link a few years ago, and correct me if I'm wrong here, that stated in order to join SS Council you either needed to be a sysop of a zone or operate a major subspace news website. Besides meeting the requirement what else is there that can be done? I've already spoken with Pure_Luck about recommending me to the council which he's agreed to do so. Who can I talk to in game or in private about this? I'm not interested in being a hassle to anyone but from what I've gathered in helping any zone it seems you either need to be a programmer or a pain in the !@#$%^&* to let someone know you're interested in helping. The last time I had a problem with recovering my name, Reaver, it took 3 weeks to be told that they could not in fact give me the password to my name. My IP was only the same for about 8 months since I had moved 8 months prior but my MID was the same for many years. Anyways, I managed to guess my password after quite a bit of trial and error but the point remains that you guys are substantially understaffed and I believe myself qualified and able.
