Irregardless, I think this whole "having L Y N X netbanned for 2 hours" was completely blown out of proportion by people who have nothing better to do than to sit around gossipping like a bunch of old ladies. So why the need to take out the knitting needles and dwell on it?

Generally, all instances of cheating are given a year long netban. That part about minimum durations is rarely followed as anyone who cheats knows the consequences. So all in all, you've already got a pretty good deal.

What can I say, PoL'? With a higher percentage of the population comes a higher percentage of idiocy. I kept an eye on these developments because the person you know as Cre> was also a regular player in TW, and I was curious to know whether I would be maintaining local blocks against him. Unless freakmonger was wrong about what he saw him do under the name tuL that eventuated in the netban, your character witness means diddly squat.

It becomes a matter of trust. They may be a high level BanG operative in their primary zone, but can you really trust them not to screw things up in your own? What happens if they are fired from their primary zone? Do you want to risk a rogue operative stalking across the network? This is why you have L0's anyway. If their role wasn't only about resolving netban tickets, it'd be quite easy for them to do exactly what it is I've been attempting with my jury rigged setup. Of course a network wide aliasing system couldn't go astray in that regard... But again, pipe dreams. We make do with what resources we have.

I find it rather pathetic that some zones find it offensive that people would dare advertise for other zones. As if players didn't have sensibility to make up their own minds about where to play. That is disregarding the fact that it's all the same game. Come to Trench! You can advertise whatever zone you like so long as you don't spam! Huzzah!
