  1. what's the population like? I haven't logged on in months.
  2. i'm waaaay too disorganised. did all mine yesterday, felt like such a selfish fool.
  3. what's this, intelligent debate in subspace? My, things must have changed since I last dropped by I'm not sure what I think: I've always been a touch scared of the effects of computer games. At the moment, sure, it's really easy to distinguish between computer games and reality. When you're driving around in GTA IV, the graphics are incredible, but it's nothing like driving in real life. And computer game violence is clearly only affecting those prone to it. But what about the future? Computer games are only going to get more realistic. It's only going to become more like actually running people over in your car, to take my previous example. And that scares me, frankly.
  4. I thought they were going to cut the price to make it actually AFFORDABLE to normal people, apparently not. In England it's still like $400 plus a $60 a month contract. Ridiculous.
  5. baudchaser, 1ststrike, anaconda, altec, smong and argyle, definitely. Who was it that made that DS9 zone? I always forget. They should be interviewed as one of the first people to use LVZ to that extent. Think about interviewing BD Vine too if you can get hold of him. Don't know what his email is nowadays.
  6. school.. online..?
  7. i spent around 2000 hours on guard duty !@#$%^&*, that's some serious usage welcome back - hope everyone you know made it back safely.
  8. does the bang site still work? last I checked, few people seemed to have heard of it.
  9. yeah, i agree. it's always going to be subjective.. there have been countless SSC zone owners and sysops. Would you say that they were all worthy of being on this list? How about a player with the top points/best rec ever in a specific zone? It's difficult to know when to stop. Either have specific rules for who can be on the list or just have a general one.
  10. Who is this rootbear guy?
  11. I figured 'warzone' was the best word to use to people who've never played the game before. They don't know it has another meaning in SS I used it to refer to arenas.
  12. i might be in an immature mood, but http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=20003 cracked me up.
  13. rofl, amusing mental image of a load of nerdy looking people hitting the city in t shirts with slogans like '!@#$%^&* neggers' and 'my other ship is a Avro 4F/2 HMS Lancaster'
  14. lols.. dumbest thread ever
  15. as far as suggestions go, get ana or ws or someone to make it look really good - maybe emphasise the fact that it's FREE in BIG letters or people will think it's just some product you're selling - maybe include a list of quotes about how great it is. I wish alpha still existed, and you could direct people there. If I had time, I'd create a new beginner zone, but i don't - would be good if you could link this project to a new zone for new people. Basically, just make it SIMPLE; these are some phrases that might work SubSpace - the massIVELY MULTIPLAYER FREE SPACE SHOOTER Meet people from all over the world - then kill them! Advanced chat client attached Play in hundreds of differently-themed warzones - take control of the death star or engage in trench warfare High intensity - often several kills a minute! Then scrap the instructions - just link to getcontinuum.com and put your name overall, though, it's a brilliant idea and all you really need to do is highlight the fact that it's 100% free in enormous writing otherwise it'll just be trashed like all the other flyers people get. good luck, live
