Deva IS all about basing, it isn't all about the credits however you look at it. The credits are there to HELP with the basing and also adding a twisting-fun factor. Currently, there is problems with the bot so everyone has a high number of credits, so constantly, you'll see abusing. Soon, this won't be the case. For events, we could simply give credits out as a prize. What prizes are you going to give out during an event if credits aren't available? Now, this one could be a huge problem. It's basically the situation now; where all the buyables can be easily abused. Buy, wait, buy again, wait, etc. Basically, giving CREDITS out LIMITS how much you can buy. This will add strategy to the buyables (such as when to buy them, etc.) This will also make some buyables we currently have useless. Basically, what you're suggesting is TURF. I am strongly against this. This would mean that we only should have just ONE base with all the flags, or splitting them up (obviously) within all the bases. Problem that poses there is that we currently don't have enough population for 3-way attacking/defending. To be honest, that WOULD be interesting to see. Also, having the flags pick-up-able gives a little bit of "rush" into the game (such as running + chasing; changing bases if a base is getting boring or if the defenders are beginning to lose the base, etc.) --> Also, how will we have the "mega-jackpot" event when really, there isn't a jackpot to win? Now, The number of flags could use some work. 25 was always the traditional number of flags for Deva, but how about lowering the number of them, and also increasing the bonus granted? Doing this will balance it out. There should not be a difference between 25-10 flags in terms of gameplay; however, there might be a SLIGHT difference when hiding the flags, seperately. Another thing I would change is Flag time. Yes, the 3 minute flag time. I suggest rise it. Add another minute or/and half perhaps? Good games would indefinitely last longer. Ultimately, I would not implement the "credless" era. For one thing, that would make all the work we put into it, put to waste. Plus, a lot of people like the idea behind this anyways. Quick fact: Devastation begun a credless zone, and was credless until it was revived last year approximately.
