  1. Yeah restrictions on how many names/squads people have would be nice cause if there was a name/squad reset then a load of name traders would probably get a load of names. In squads maybe there should be a trustee that if the squadowner gets reset then the squad gets transferred straight to that trustee. But I'm not really talking about names resetting here, I just wanted to know if there could be a name/squad reset because there are so many unused names and squads.
  2. Yeah you could. It would tell you if any players in an *UNKNOWN* squad were active or not because when you search for that squad if no players are active in it, it will say No matches found. Thanks
  3. When a squadowner's name gets reset but there are still people joined to that squad then the squadowner will be *UNKNOWN*. Because you don't know who is in this squad, you don't know if they are still active or not. But if someone that can see who's in whatever squad and that player in the squad is inactive then the squad should be reset. Hope that made sense
  4. SVS, I think I said in my recent post about important players that have done a lot for Subspace their names shouldn't get reset. Maybe as an alteration for my name/squad reset idea is that players that have played activily for 4 years+ say then their names will not get reset. Zcraft, I don't want these names I'm just talking about I don't see the point of people that have played and have not logged on for a year or so keeping thier names which they won't use again. I think it would be nice for everyone to have the name which they want instead of having some like Killer235 when maybe they wanted the name Killer. Of course you can pick out disadvantages of it but I heard there was a big name reset a couple of years ago. Was this true? What rules were there for resetting names then? Thanks
  5. Bajan, thats why you would have some kind of manual/automatic list of all the players that have signed in over the last half a year or so because the chances are that if they haven't played in that amount of time they probably never will play again/or hardly ever play. Syrus, any players that have had important roles in zones, their names wouldn't be reset for exactly the reason that you gave. I can't do anything about experienced players I suppose some people might know if a player is impersonating them...I suppose it is a disadvantgae to a name/squad reset.
  6. !@#$%^&*o, I've noticed that there are so many inactive names in Subspace that aren't used anymore. If these players don't play anymore then why should those names still be taken. How about a name/squad reset on SSC? Of course you cannot reset names that are in use but how about all the people that login to SS over a 2 month period are automatically/manually signed onto a list which states that they still play and thier name shouldn't reset. Then there is a big reset of un-used names. Some people will probably say "Wait for names to reset" but some players have played for years and then quit so their names probably will never get reset even when there is no use keeping them anymore. I'd like to hear your input, thanks Gridlock.
