Mentioning this before I forget: In Hebrew (the original language of Genesis) the translation of "day" is not literal. Rather, it means "a period of time" which naturally could mean anything. I'm not particularly open to the idea of creation but I hate it when people say stuff like "HUR HUR YOU CAN'T CREATE STUFF IN JUST 168 HOURS."

So war between two countries is the same as the leader of a country killing his own people just for his benefit? I don't think so. Saddam killing his own people is like if President Bush decided to kill everyone in the state of Michigan, because they weren't going to vote for him. And i believe it was a village or shi'ites or kurds that he g!@#$%^&*ed? Not sure, but i thought it was one of the two... This is really beside the point. Again, how would we have liked it had a superior military force swooped in and put a stop to our oppression of the Indians?

I'll grant you that g!@#$%^&*ing one's own citizens is worse than g!@#$%^&*ing someone else's---however, I'm not sure how huge of a difference it is. Anyway, it's beside the point---Sever's point was how we would've taken it had some imaginary superior military force had swooped in and said "that's wrong!"

Citizens or no, what difference does it make? If all we did was deny them voting rights or police protection, then fine, but what we did was so much more. Saying "they weren't our citizens" doesn't get you off the hook, an atrocity is an atrocity.

I'm personally against the war, but I have nothing but the utmost respect for the people in uniform. While there are people who do hate soliders I believe that's the exception rather than the rule.

Well, all appearances are that I've been unbanned today. Thanks to everyone for their help, and if the guy who unbanned me reads this, mucho thanks to him as well. As charming as all you folks are I don't think I'll be around here any more, I've got my hands full of things to check as it is. See everyone on the flip side.

Any good zones outside of SSC? I've been fooling around in South Tejas but it's kinda like eating popcorn. Fun at first but you'd rather have something solid.

If you could get ahold of Mackie that'd be great. But supposing for some reason you can't reach him and I don't get a response from SSBase, how long should I wait before contacting someone? And who should I contact?

The form I filled out looked exactly like it, and I'm not exactly keen on pestering someone if I need a favor. Will it get sent to the same place as the one on SSBase?

Yeah, that was me. I was looking for someone I'd met in there a few years back. Unfortunately, for the life of me I can't recall the name. 50% Packet Loss: If I was in your place I'd probably be skeptical, too. But no, !@#$%^&*sta and I are two different beasts. I tried to log on yesterday around 1:00 Pacific time and got the "You're banned' pop-up. The ban ID was #1467 and it's until next year, but as far as I know the only thing I've done wrong is having possibly the worst record in history. Could someone help me out here?
