  1. Just a little note: If you did have Spysweeper installed and then you uninstall it, Continuum still might not run. I guess it's because you might have to blow it out of the registry... Or whatever (at least that's what was happening to me, I think) One last thing, a lot of people have had this problem, including myself. I posted my problem and the way I fixed it here: http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=6256 Hope it helps
  2. Okay, I'm not sure if you want to do this, but here is the solution. I believe that the problem is Service Pack 2 being incompatible with some other programs, but for some reason, this affects Continuum. What I did is I did a format. Second, I installed all of my drivers and installed Service Pack 2 (I'd recommend not installed any programs unless they are necessary until after Service Pack 2). Then, you want to make a System Restore and install the programs you want. If you install a program that causes Continuum to have an endless process, then just do a system restore (uninstalling won't work for some reason). And that's about it (I used FAT32, but I'm sure that won't matter ). Now, the two programs that I found not to work (so far), are Spysweeper and Tune-Up Utilities 2004. This way worked for me, but don't blame me if it doesn't.
  3. I had the same problem http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=6256 But I can run it in one way... It doesn't save it's data. Run it by right-clicking Continuum, select Run as..., then click ok
  4. I've had the same problem and posted it here: http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=6256 There is one way you can run it... But it won't remember any of the data that you have inserted into Continuum. First, right-click Continuum, select run as..., then select ok. You will notice that the box will be checked that says "Protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity." You must leave that checked or it won't run...
  5. Yeah, that doesn't seem to work either.
  6. I used to have my Hard Drive set in FAT32, but even so I still had the problem after I installed Service Pack 2 (But I know it's not service pack 2 itself). Anyway, I use NTFS.
  7. Yeah, I have heard someone else say the same thing... Yet I know that I am set as the adminstrator my computer because I am the only person who uses it (Only one account on the computer).
  8. Well... Playing Continuum like this after using that method to start it out is pretty annoying. Everytime I quit a zone, I have to re-enter all of the data that I have inputed (Profiles/Zone/Macros, etc. etc.). Yet that is the only way I can find to run it.
  9. Alright... I have found out how to fix it... And I don't know how or why this works but... Right-click continuum -> Run as... -> Ok And thats all there is to it....
  10. No, that won't work. I already have the best drivers for my video and sound cards.
  11. It's a bit to late for a system restore. I have formated and installed service pack 2 in October. But what I want to know is if there is a way to fix this problem.
  12. My problem is I can't get Continuum to load up. After I click on the program to start it up... It can't seem to even do anything other than load.... This takes up about 20-40% of system resources. This problem isn't because of a firewall or proxy. I have tried to start up the program without any internet, at all. I use: Athlon XP 2500+ Platinum 160GB Hard Drive ATi Radeon 9600 Pro 256MB 768MB PC2700 RAM Biostar motherboard with nvidia nForce 2 chipset Windows XP Professional /w Service Pack 2 I know that this isn't a fault of Windows XP Service Pack 2, but I only started having this problem after I installed it. It had worked just fine without the Service Pack 2 upgrade. The reason I know it's not because of that, is because I have seen other computers do the same thing on Windows 98. I have tried compatibility modes. Uninstalling continuum and reinstalling into a new directory. Scanned with spyware programs such as Ad-Aware SE Professional 1.05 and Spybot Search & Destroy. If anyone has any idea on the problem and how to fix it, I would be greatful if someone were to help. [Edit] When I said it won't even p!@#$%^&* the splash screen... I meant it won't even show it.
