with all that said, you should realize how unnecessary this whole idea is. I'd actually prefer connecting to zones manually than a bot forwarding me to one. The amount of time it takes to type the actual command to the bot is more than pressing Esc Q, clicking once, and hitting Enter. also, I doubt any active players would volunteer to mod the lounge considering it's just watching text all day... not much excitement there. on a lighter note, you should probably try this idea with other networks, not SSC, as it contains too big of a player base. perhaps you can create a few differently themed zones and only allow 1 on the directory list (as the lounge server) then have the bot send an option to the player entering saying which zone the player would like to connect to. the negative part in this idea would be that the population meter in the directory list for the zone will only reflect on the lounge's zone since that will only be on the directory list. then again, this can be done in a much simpler manner using ASSS. although the *sendto command was newly discovered for subgame, it's nothing ASSS can't do.
