It's not too long. Two words typically make a title in most games. You're being too literate. Be aware that newbs won't really care which came first - they just want to know what they're playing. We generally want a name that everyone knows, creates no confusion, and shows Continuum as the successor to Subspace.

How is it overdone? I know it sounds cliche, but this is an old game we're talking about. And I don't think 2 words counts as being bloated.

What about Subspace Continuum? Sounds cooler.
