The map is...ok, I like the tiles, and I admit the old one was getting boring. However people knew the old one well, like someone else pointed out it takes a long time to get used to a new map, especially considering some ships work better in small spaces than big ones (eg spider), and these have changed a lot. Maybe this new map will work, but it is a big change, and for example, if you save the ball right next to the south goal, then look at the alt map to see how far you have to go to get it to north goal, in particular with little or no help, its definatly off putting. The ship settings I like less. I only play the warbird. The warbird (to me) is not a great fighter, but its good against cloaked ships and with the ball. It seems to have got a bad deal on this map though: - the burst has less bullets than before, making it harder to shake chasing ships in bases, - antiwarp doesnt seem useful, since i saw hardly any ships using portal - the energy, 1600 is terrible. It hardly takes any damage before blowing up, especially from javelins. This isnt good when you're up against several ships defending a base entrance (for example). Or even just flying though the center when its busy. - brick is useless. i don't like using it anyway, maybe thats just me. i would of prefered even a single mine. - the afterburner is good. - the bombs are faster, which makes it easier but i don't think it was really necessary. Maybe i'll get used to it, maybe not. The other ships I can't really tell, since i dont play them. But in particular the weasel mine is shocking. Its just random lucky killing. At least - take away its prox. Similar problems with terrier I think - its bombs don't take skill, its just random shooting until they kill something. Other things going on, like the bounce rabbit game and bounce for most goals/!@#$%^&*ists are a good idea, they should be permanant. So overall I don't know. Anything that increases pub population is good, but changing the iden!@#$%^&*y of the zone (map and settings), it just seems very risky.
