  1. Came back to read it all and it poofed. Oh well.
  2. Interesting concept, although I only skimmed through all of that. It'll be nice to see it finished, or near-enough completion to be playable. That is all..for now.
  3. The "special" tiles, Like the phantom green, or thor-proof walls.

If you're talking about the zone list, I use sscentral.sscuservers.net sscentral.subspacehq.com sscentral.subspace.net and it works fine for me. If you're talking about downloading the actual zones, Make sure you aren't logged on as a guest.
  5. Don't put a ton of powerballs.
  6. Repel Proof Mines, that are weaker, perhaps? Or mines that can explode multiple times.
  7. I'm touched.
  8. I believe he means a wall that is part of the map, that only a certain team can go through.
  9. MG Changed servers a while back... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/BattleshipGalaxy/switchserver.png That would be why you are seeing only 4 or 5 players.

  11. Different respawn timers, So if you have EMP when you died, you would have to wait longer, or if a bomb finished you off, you would have to wait longer, and so on.
  12. Overloading weapons? Longer delay, slower recharge, but packs a bigger punch? Could you let us know what you are working into the game/thinking of putting into the game/perhaps working into the game right now, maybe we could work a little off of that?
  13. New default splash screen/sound of course. (Yes, I know you can do this already...) Being able to get an arena list of the zone, so if you Highlight TW, you'll get the equivilent of ?arena or ESC + A, in a sidebar, maybe? It'd be a helpful way to see if anything was being hosted, or something. ...It'd also be nice to see if a smaller zone REALLY has 8 players, or just 1 bot in 7 different arenas.
  14. After the splash screen displays, Click on the "zones" Tab - depending on what skin you're using, it's in a different spot. Remove Metal Gear CTF from your Zonelist. Exit out of the Zones tab. Re-enter the zones tab, Refresh your zone list (if it doesn't automaticly), and add Metal Gear CTF again. It should work.
  15. Mothers Lag? *Maybe having an item such as advanced radar, that would allow you to see enemies items, energy, shields, super, etc. *A Kill record. "a killed by: b" Game (to "a"): "B has killed you X times!" or, "You killed B, X times!" -option to turn this on/off, server options to have it set on/off as players enter.
  16. Attaching in formation, or something. Controlling a formation of ships. like, You have the lead ship, and then every that attaches attaches in a certain formation, and follows the leaders movement/speed/direction. It'd be pretty cool.
  17. Everytime you go somewhere where you can buy things, you can use preset favorites that will automaticly buy everything on the list you can afford - if you don't already have it. It's more than macros.
  18. -Deep Breath- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHJAHAHAHAJhsjdghjkasdghsd. /ontopic. "Favorites" - Or something Everytime you go somewhere where you can buy things, you can use preset favorites that will automaticly buy everything on the list you can afford - if you don't already have it.
  19. Now to explain those nifty buttons in the top right. Census: Amount of players per team, amount of human players, and amount of bots. Navigate: Quick way to use Q-Drive. Select planet/target and hit "go" Ranks: Self-explanatory. Shows ranks and requirements. Target: Your current target. (as pictured) Displays level/type of systems, enemies ship, who is using it, which team they are on, and simple orders. -Fight: The Auto-pilot I was talking about. will continiously fire until energy is drained, wait for recharge, and then start firing again. -Tractor: Tractor the ship. If you have more crew than the target ship, and you successfully tractor it, That ship comes to your team. You also take all of their credits. -Attack: Orders bots to fight target, displays message to players to attack target. -Acquire: Orders bots to tractor target, displays message to players to tractor target. Planets: The planetary bodies. dur. Also shows population of colony, armor, and so forth. Damage: Your "status" - It shows each system, it's current charge, and it's "damage" - Damaged systems don't work as well, and slowly repair. Refit: Q-drives to your SpaceDock and docks with it, allowing for buying of upgdrades. Save: Saves current Data. Pilots: Human Players. Help: Equivalent of F1. (I want the SF zone back, too... )
  20. Stellar Frontier is a game very similar to Continuum, although it's player base is about 12. *Streamlined upgrade system (sort of). All your current weapons/engines/whatever levels can be found by hitting "S" Which switches the upper right into the status screen. When docked at a space station, you double click on whatever you want to upgrade, select the upgrade, and you're set. This is also how Stellar Frontier handles it's mul!@#$%^&*ude of weapons - each ship has a certain "weight" limit, and a certain amount of weapons tubes. A ship cannot go over the weight limit, but you can downgrade things (and get a refund for them) thus lowering your weight, and allowing you to get better weapons. The weakest ship in the game - frieghter - has 1 weapon tube. If you set all of the other ship's sytems to level 1, you can hold the best weapon in the game on it. This way, "Elite"-ists can figure out how to maximize each ships potential. *Working Gravity / orbits. There's a star in the middle. Planets revolve around the star. Your ship, when flying near planets, gets dragged towards them. The star has much higher gravity, but also kills you when you get near it. You need to constantly adjust if you want to fly in a straight line. *Weapons options. -You can switch to a somewhat auto-pilot mode, where your ship automaticly fires all weapons at the closest enemy. You can maneuver the ship, and such, but the weapons fire automaticly. -You aren't restricted to a "this weapon fires forward" "this weapon fires backwards" - The weapons are adjustable. *Q-Drive It takes energy, and it can only go to fixed points (Planets, or Spacedocks), but you are invisible to enemies, and invunerable to damage. (Note: Abused in Stellar Frontier. Alot. - Maybe have an energy drain when you leave, I.E. You have a bombfiredelay after leaving Q-drive, or perhaps you lose all weapons energy/ engine energy, and it has to recharge.) *Eh, I haven't played it in a while, actually. More when I can think of it. As it's 1 AM, there's probably mistakes. Focus on WHAT I said. not HOW I said it. harhar.
  21. This reminds me. Stellar Frontier has alot of good features, and although I'm not just gonna say "copy everything from Stellar Frontier," You could look there if your Ideas dry up a bit.
  22. An ability to copy a section of tiles, rotate to your liking, (Or just 90 degrees at a time) and put it on a different part of the map. (If it's on SSME, I can't see it..)
  23. Could probably make it from client to client what you want. (Or make it an option) I.E. Someone sets what they want (Font, Colors, Etc) and that's how everything shows up to them, and only them.
  24. Are you logged on as a guest? In XP Pro/Home Guests do not have permission to remove/add files to the hard drive. If logging onto an account with administrator abilities doesn't work, you'll probably have to end up doing a clean install of windows, as it's an issue with the OS itself.
  25. Manually controlled turrets, maybe emplacements on a space station? I.E. It has L3 bombs (or whatever the !@#$%^&* the strong weapons will be) but has to be controlled by a human? Also, cloaked mines would be pretty awesome, in a lame kind of way. Maybe Cloaked mine = Takes 2x energy of normal mine, and has a constant drain on your ship until it explodes? ( The mine, or your ship ) Also, Manually exploding bombs would be cool, so like, if you miss, you can use a small amount of energy to make it explode and not be a completely worthless shot.
