  1. I'm also curious on this one.
  2. Terry didn't I post that link in MG spec chat like 5 hours ago? Way to be on top of things.
  3. !@#$%^&* SVS... Gramps did the same thing, please be original SVS's positive impact on SS and MG is undeniable. But he got what was coming to him.
  4. Hey SOS, remember me? (I now go by ignore.txt) I can code! So far the people who are joining on are like a dream team of SS developers, and I can't p!@#$%^&* that up. Even if you guys were forming a company that just made pink polo shirts with colors that stay up, I would have to join. I am well-versed in all Subspace development areas, except I can't draw worth !@#$%^&*. I've coded bots, and numerous little games to amuse myself. I speak a couple different languages, and I could write a .cfg file from memory. My email is criosys(at)yahoo.com, so just let me know what you need.
  5. Absolutely, 1st, but we just crossed from one netban rule into another rule. Here are both rules pasted from Swift's policy: I think a critical part of the policy is the "real life" which was said three times. Not to mention the examples given are hardly along the lines of disrespect or questioning some one's authority. My recent netban (which caused my original question) was for 7 days and included none of the above.
  6. If a staff member of a zone gets insulted on a cross-zone chat... is that enough to warrant a netban? Perhaps a better approach would be a lengthy local ban followed by an entry into the staff member's ignore.txt file. Anyone have an opinion on this?
  7. you are correct sir. I was (perhaps still am stoned)... after re-reading i notice no coherant thought in my post. However it was my freedom to smoke pot and post at will that led to this mockery of a thread.
  8. I propose a concept on freedom: Perhaps freedom is like m!@#$%^&* and energy in the universe(Physics 101). The law of conservation of m!@#$%^&* and energy states that it is a constant value. M!@#$%^&* can be converted to energy, etc. In order to have a true freedom, one must hinder or transfer another person's freedom. For instance, to have truly free speech, one should be able to say they want to brutally murder and rape every member of a given race. Of course this hinders the freedoms of that said race, and therefore is not allowed in the US(national media anyway). If I want to enjoy the freedom of a compe!@#$%^&*ive clothing market with low low prices... the manufacturers of my T-shirts have to hinder the freedom of some Taiwanese kids to make them for me cheap. Maybe freedom can be traded, or I would say converted into something else. Let's call it security. I used to be able to have a good amount of freedom in airports. Now I get an anal exam when my nail clippers fall out of my bag. In this case, I gladly trade that freedom for the security on the airplane. Can security be given up for freedom? you bet. Here is the first ammendment. You can own a gun. Does this make the country less secure considering anyone could get drunk or upset and shoot at some one? yup, so there is a little less security. Just a theory I have that makes sense in my head. Everytime you excersize even a small amount of freedom you are taking away freedom and/or security from another.

    Vote

I'm voted for the guy who hasn't put the country in debt and plunged us into a war which will keep our soldiers overseas for years to come.... Kerry sure... whoever is not Bush. I'm glad the poll-maker didn't put Ralph "Vote Thief" Nader in there. I'm not gonna repost, but seriously Bush has brought this country down so much. I didn't like Bill Clinton as a person but he kept more money in my pocket.
  10. Sarin is a chemical weapon, not a bio weapon. It cannot be "killed" by an explosion. The devise was *designed* to explode. The s-*BAD WORD*- was designed to be fired from something, not to be used as a road side bomb. The idiot terrorists who rigged it up probably didn't know what it really was. The chemicals did not mix pre-explosion, so there was only a small ammount of gas released. If it had been fired properly, people *would* be dead. I'm too lazy right now to find the article where I read that. It was something to do with how IEDs generally suck. They said there is so many things that can go wrong with them, and it had something to do with the mixture. If the chemicals mixed too soon or something, then the impact explosion would nullify the hazardous properties.
  11. I read a decent theory somewhere about this sarin s-*BAD WORD*-. Let's put yourself in the oppositions shoes. You know the US is expecting some WMD. You know they brought biological full body suits with them, every soldier carries one. You remember seeing them dressed in these during the initial invasion. Now its summer, upwards of 120 degree weather. Hmmm, you know what would give me an advantage? somehow make them feel the heat even more. I know! Make them put on their bio suits.... but how? I know! Let's scrounge up a small amount of that sarin stuff and load it into a s-*BAD WORD*-. None of us know what we are doing, but it'll be enough to spook em. Look at the facts... that s-*BAD WORD*- was not done right. Weapons experts say that if it was exploded most of the ignition would have killed the sarin, making it useless. This is not a sign of a country housing weapons of m!@#$%^&* destruction. If you ask me, this was to get our troops to put suits on so they can die in exteremely hot weather, while insurgents with shorts on take pot shots at them. -- just a theory, i could be wrong
  12. I have seen such things in my life which have taken away my humanity. I watched the beheading a few times. Well it didn't do anything for me. Nin64 is right, and always remember you can't believe everything you hear. Everyone in the world has an agenda, from the smallest of actions to the largest of actions. There is always something behind it, its often money, love, hate(same as love), power, or lust... amoung other things. So when you pick up the newspaper, that writer/editor had an agenda. Bush has an agenda, and so do the terrorists. You may not know what it is now, or ever, but just know that it is there behind everything.
