It was nothing i did but it was something a had to do. I updated the processors drive and all is ok now.

I looked at the application log to see if anything was showing up and found the log to be empty. I checked my C/ Drive and it tells me its healthy. I have yet to get any errors showing up on any logs I viewed on my PC.

are you the irs? this is what he posted on another forum i have an win Xp pro and for some reason its either a faulty error or a virus, my computer now has nothing on my desktop and the only way i open a window is by pressing ctrl alt del and in task manager and run task and typing c:\windows. i cannot open any .exe execpt for a I.E i cannot scan for viruses, althought i went to trend micro and scanned and found 2 viruses and got rid of them, yet it still doesnt work, cant left click. task bar is gone too, cant create a new user, rundll32 isnt working. cant do system restore. cant open regedit. and like i said, the only thing i can open is an internet explorer and access to internet is fine. here a pic of what it would look like: (the half globe thingy NIS will not show, desktop themes will not show, and the blue line at the bottom (taskbar) will not show, this is another computer, all it would have is the task manager and run task) If not it looks like you have a viruse. Time for a format

my screen turns black. It never did this before untell today.

Every time I shutdown the game (continuum) my screen turns black. Then it goes back to my desktop. The game works ok until I shut it down. It just started doing this today. Any help would be nice.

deleting the updates was your idea not mine. Anyway have you tryed downloading a new copy of the game after you remove the old one?

I knew you had XP do to the update. XP has its own firewall so you may have to add the game. You do this in windows security center. Click on start go to programs look in accessories you will find systems tools. From there click security center at the bottom you will see Internet options & automatic updates & windows firewall. Click on windows firewall "from there click on exceptions Its here you will see if the game is listed. If not you have to add it by clicking add program. If this does not work shut off windows firewall then try the game.

Has the game worked before you did this update? XP has a firewall try shuting this off. (are you using SP1 or SP2 ) Have you tryed system restore? Pick a day before you did the update.

Its not microsoft. I have spyware Doctor and microsofts firewall running at all times and i have yet to have a problem playing continuum. And i have freedom running in the back. Can you give a list of what progs you have running when you bootup.

You think it will? I don't think so. I have a long way to go before i drawing it and i know its not going to be there.

The way i download the game is "i save it to my Desktop before I click on run. After doing so everything works good. I have yet to have errors running continuum. I never shut down anti-spyware or antivirus software. And i have both micro and freedom firewall running when i do so. Looks to me the new players to be are doing something wrong. What it is we dont know.

Why would you us it? continuum has its own zone/server update or download or what ever the !@#$%^&* thing is called
