  2. Yesterday in the middle of a game i hit someone with a L3 bomb that as far as i could tell was near full energy. Then a second later someone on his team repels and almost every single one of those shrap came rocketing back at him in a massive unavoidable ball. = instant death I would hate to see a league match be decided by some completely random BS like that.

  5. What is yalls opinion on my other two suggestions regarding greens and the shark? Also on a side note... does anyone know what the proximity distance damage on each level of bomb is? Not what triggers the bomb but how far the explosion radiates outward in pixels?
  6. Obviously, you aren't missing someone because the bomb explodes. If you ever watch pros skim bombs so they do very little damage and the shrap doesnt hit them because it is predictable. The only situation where shrap become unpredictable is when you are in a tight space or are rep killed. These two areas add a bit more inconsistancy which, I believe, gives the game more character. Shrap add another level of difficulty for dodging. Just get better at predicting shrap (they are pretty obvious) and then dodge. Any decent player can skim bombs that's not what im talking about. I'm talking about the complete random BS stuff that screws a prac/game. Just today i shot 1 bomb across my screen towards Crescendo. He said he skimmed the bomb but ran into a few shrap that caused over 800 damage. He was LL and died. The irony is if i had hit him with a direct he would of lived. Explain to me the logic behind how it's a better game when i shoot a shit shot and kill someone... yet a perfect shot would allow them to live?
  7. I still disagree with everyone on the shrapnel. Why should i be rewarded for missing someone rather than a perfectly placed bomb? You aim a bomb, you aim bullets, you don't aim shrapnel it's fixed. Personally i think its damage should be either A) reduced to 100, or have the number of shrap reduced to 4/5.
  8. Shark only sucks MAJORLY because of the anti warp cost. You can't purposely fly it and run anti. Even worse is if you are down to 1v1 and having to run anti. Yes on the greens.
  9. Direct EMP does about 1200 total dmg because of the 4 second recharge delay.
  10. Also lets make bullets 1 shot kill. javelins should only fire multi backwards, limit resolution and lets defend a base with 1 flag instead of 4v4. I was hoping for serious responses. Why should the weasel be the only ship rewarded for perfect aim with 1200+ dmg? Why is it that the total shrap damage that can be done by one bomb is 1520 yet a direct hit is only 800? You're better off not to landing a direct and getting someone to hit a few shrap than you are having precision aim. We've all seen people complain about crazy deaths because somehow they were hit by a bomb at 1300 energy and smacked by 4 shrapnel. Why should random shrapnel almost do the same damage (190) that an aimed bullet (212) does? So the way i see it: 1. Increase direct bomb damage. However, i assume this can't be done for specific ships? 2. Lower shrap damage. 3. Lower maximum shrap to 4.
  11. 1. Can we not make every green equal one of three things: brick, thor, rocket? 2. Shark sucks. Make the antiwarp cost normal instead of 150. 3. How about rewarding people for good aim and making direct bombs 850 for everything but weasle. Heck i'd say make it 900.
  12. I also did the Appalachian Trail a few month before the bicycle ride. So if anyone has any questions about hiking or biking feel free to shoot me a message. The AT is a 2200 mile long trail that follows the Appalachian Mountains from Georgia to Maine.   13. Zero flat tires. Bought food in towns but, usually was able to get one town meal a day. Overall we spent about 3/4th's of the time camping and the rest in motels.
  14. Just found some of these avalanche crossing photos i took. There was a section in Montana where we had to cross about a mile of avalanche debris. The second picture was the worst stuff. The snow was extremely slick and there was tons of loose gravel and rock above us. It took us about a half mile to find the road again.   17. I'd probably fly this ship more regularly if the anti cost wasn't so ridiculous. From 0 to 1700 nrg you're talking an additional 5-6 seconds if you're running anti. I have a few different ideas on making this a little more balanced: 1. Make it's rotation 270 (equal to that of the lancaster) and make the anti cost 110 instead. or 2. Make it's rotation 280. or 3. Take away stealth but give it free cloak. or 4. Make its rotation 270 but its x-radar free. Just some ideas i was throwing around. Only other ship i think sucks worse is the javelin. My ideas of a balanced ship set is that each ship has something unique but also has something that counters some advantage that one other ship has and/or is weak but has something that benefits the whole team.

  19. I was gone for a while so he definitely might have changed. I think when he was playing with us he was only like 16/17 years old. I didn't know Intrepid merged with assassins.
  20. Okay so i was on CPRman's (he created CPRman graphics pack for SS which i can no longer find) Assassin's (spelled with the apostrophe) waaaaayy back. I believe FooMasta was one of our captains but don't quote me on that. I also played with Enemy who at the time was Angel. I don't even think we were a Pro squad either. I remember a lot of people on the squad not getting along with Angel/Enemy. I also don't remember him being all that great. So i'm curious... How exactly did Angel/Enemy claim Assassins (i believe CPRman told me it was already taken), get to Pro, and then assemble so many top pilots onto his team? - McLaren
  21. Even though my crazy adventures are going to make me afk for 3 months ... i had a though/question: I saw in another post people talking about those that are not showing to matches. I'm curious as to why the squad captains don't choose the day and time of matches versus them being specifically on Sunday afternoon? I would think this would add more flexibility and allow for better showing of players? Squad Captains: Okay we have to schedule a game this week. What days is everyone available? Squad Captains: Puts everyone's name on a calendar for that week. See's who's available each day. Then talks with other squad captain and coordinates a time. If nothing is chosen for whatever reason ... how about the day time just fall on Sunday at the regular time? - McLaren
