What is the earliest copy of SS that any of you have managed to connect to a biller? I've been looking through really old copies of the game and am looking for equally old copies of the older billing servers. I must say the sniper interface is fun to fly now if only i could break it apart to base a new client on anyone got source code on the early versions of subspace? ...EZ DZ..

Hello SSDZers We are looking for people to connect to the CLASSIC zone with any Subspace client they can get to log in. So far we have forced 1.34 to log in. But it wasn't pretty. I'll see about even running a classic biller for it later on. So if you have a working copy of subspace 1.35 that you can use! We would love to see you log in with it. I'll be looking over some old machines that might have working copies of that file and setting up some pc's running windows 95 and 98 just for that purpose Its been so long since i've seen the classic subspace client in action. It was a great deal of fun playing it again. Its smooth in action and thrilling in menu options. Plus the adding removing zone in my zebra opinion is superior to the new client. Its funny to see the different versions in action. From 1.34 static menu to 1.34d/1.35 with the turning ship. At least you are both reading the forums over multiple websites! If zones made money off their websites they could play for staff to monitor names & bans. You should fight it out in SS. I'd like to see the match and would be glad to host it. i can record every bit of data and video for review. I'm thinking about putting up Living is CHEEZY zone for you. The Game lives on. Players need to know its okay to play several zones and game-types if that's what they want to do. As this is hyperspace forum i suggest you play hyperspace! in the time it takes to log in and type a zone is dead you could log into it and play a round. and taking tactics is good but in the time it takes to describe them you could log in a play a round proving your point! ...EZ DZ...

Once again support is very much appreciated but the key in life is to know sometimes where you go people do things differently. Each zone group can do what ever they want. But if you allow people input and don't mind working together a lot of fun can be had. SSC has some great qualities as well. I am fond of chaos for play style and trench wars has a lot of people keeping it running which is a good approach. The classic name database is good but really needs a full time person on working on getting people their names back or at least posting something about the state of the names Here in the SSDZ. We control the names and we are willing to work with you! Its not a competition for who can get the most of the small population that has stated playing for 20 years. Its a game that needs new players to join and old players to teach and regardless of your opinion or views. Just let people play. This is our mission statement. Play more SS. Play it where ever you like playing. Build a zone. To focus on what's wrong with this or that this player isn't playing right has nothing to do with playing the game. As far as inter zone hate there is no need for it. The fact that so many people care should be celebrated not reviled And every now and again thank the people who are doing the work for free. Cheese if you want a zone let us know evilzebrassdz@gmail.com As far as cheating goes. Let me clarify. We don't care what you did in other zones. We care about having fun. So if you are banned from playing SS you are welcome. If you are not banned from playing SS you are welcome. For the most part no bans. the harshest normal penalty is SHUTUP so no talkie. but you can still flyie as Demento would say If you do something that makes people not play with you. That is the punishment of the game. If you then make amends you are back in their good standing once again. In some zones gifting a bounty is cheating. Anything you can do in the game is allowed. Play a turret and when done give your bounty to your driver like the old school chaos traditions. In some zones running a script or a bot would be cheating. Here any bot you send for us to look at compile and host on approval you can. if you want to run a script on your machine go for it I will have zones for all types of behaviour. The key however in all of this is fun. Cheating isn't cheating if all parties agree on it I will clarify each zones guidelines in the future but SS is not SS without playing. and we agree to play together we give each other the gift of our time. and for that and all the people that have been stopping in.
