I had this same problem a moment ago and found a fix. I assume you're playing in Extreme Games, as in every other zone things work.
Go to Options -> Other -> Use Optional Level Graphics and Sound, and make sure this is unchecked. It seems that EG is using some graphic that Wine does not like.
