Ok, since I haven't been in Deva a while now, due to school & work (my appoligies), I'll offer my third-party opinion.

 

1) Shad0ws, being a staff member means you shouldn't swear towards another player, even more so through pm's. (though I'm not saying we should ban swearing, some contexts are a-ok)

2) X`terrania is a player, but no matter who it is, staff should not have to accept personal attacks. Racism, swearing, etc.

3) If there's a problem between player-staff, use *warn command (which was done)

4) X`terrania should not criticize staff warnings; warnings should not be taken lightly, we're a clean zone, and let's keep it that way.

5) Rasta, a staff member, should neither tolerate racism. Laserman shouldn't write racist comments.

 

You asked for my opinion, and this is how I see it. I cannot judge the context, or what was your first motive for pm'ing X`terrania "stfu noob/!@#$%^&*". Here's my 2 cents for future reference though:

 

To all players:

- If you have a problem with another PLAYER or STAFF, please use ?help

- You may also send private messages directly to the staff members online as long as they're NOT personal attacks. If another moderator is not online, feel free to ?message=XDOOM:~~ or tm_master.

- DO NOT provoke staff in a hateful manner. DO NOT ignore warnings. DO NOT evade bans.

Lol, oh come off it. You left a lot of rather self-incriminating evidence out of there, now didn't you? You really need to grow up, and you started the whole racism by making fun of laserman because his english was poor, and you were also getting your !@#$%^&* kicked.

 

And staff shouldn't message someone and scream "Stfu !@#$%^&*", etc, rather than giving a decent warning.

 

I highly recommend that Shadow be removed from staff, he even said he was going to retire after this little 'tirade'. I know that rasta, jds, and laserman all back me in this issue.

 

(it's kids like that who are ruining this game and whatever dignity it has left.)

You rarely play in Devastation, which does not give you the right to backtalk to any staff members and request they be removed over one tirade. Criticism is tolerable, but personal attacks and racism is not. - As for what Shad0ws does, it's his choice and not yours to make.

first of all i left no self-incriminating evidence out, now you see you are in the wrong you still try and twist things.

i have been playing this zone for quite some time now, and thats the first time i see you in here, so you have no right to tell me how to staff the zone.

 

by the way i am not a kid i am one of the more mature members of devastation, and how the !@#$%^&* can you say that i ruin this game when you start bein a racist. racism has a big part of the players in the game leaving and playing something else

 

and as for me quiting Never! rehab is for quiters, if i quit it will just show weekness.

Deva is pimp. However, I don't always like what I see when I come around, all the way across town, you been searchin for that someone, and it's me out on the prowl... Oh !@#$%^&*...

 

So let's all take a word of advice from a 10 year veteran SS trash talker. Treat others as you expect them to treat you in return. Keep the !@#$%^&*-baggery to a minimum. And if somebody is bustin your chops, they shouldn't be, and a mod should be able to solve this problem with a warning to the appropriate player.

Anyways, I played Deva awhile back actually, I even applied for staff and got it, but then I decided to quit the zone and didn't show up for two days after I got staff, thus they took it away.

All I have to say is we(laserman,x't,jds,rasta) where playing a nice game ,having fun in dew.The next thing i know shad comes in ,and from what X't said to me was "shad is spaming the !@#$%^&* outa me"..I didnt really think much if it until laserman and X't where banned or kicked.

 

To the "racism" its all fun in games,laserman is black and could care less about us or him saying N***** ,and jds is jewish and could care less about me calling him a jew.

IMO racism isn't really against the rules with such low pop unless (in large zones it should always be against the rules without question):

 

Its meant to insult someone, or someone feels insulted and the person using the racism doesn't stop.

 

If it falls under one of those to rules then personally I'd silence them for half an hour to an hour, or maybe ban if they keep it up after the silence is ended.

 

 

Anyways, someone should lock this topic and let life move on.

 

 

P.S. I see shad and rasta are reading this I'm gonna go to deva for a few minutes.
