Someone once posted a nice message about a problem with a certain motherboard/AMD combination causing all sorts of clock/FPS/lag issues, which was fixed with a certain BIOS upgrade. Does anyone have this info?

alright, ive played the game for 2 days and my comp is having some bad times. i mighthaveto result to a disc recovery. But in the 2 days ive done extremely well due to the fact of playing a game silent death 3years ago which is like this game. but anyways i want to keep playing and if i do a system recovery i want to continue playing under my char Eternalkill. If i do a system recovery i just install the game and go to profile and as username type Eternalkill and then password as my password and i play under the same stats that i had before?? Or do i have to save some files into the game? Ty for your time and effort to help me

um, Ive recently switched from dial up to cable internet, and now when I try to connect to a zone in the game, it cant connect, it just says "connection to server lost". any 1 help?

I don't know if this should go in the techncal support, but anyway... I have quite a few names on continuum, one of which is The Sharkie. A couple of months ago, I realised just Sharkie was available for use. I got the name, but then I went back to using The Sharkie. Now I wish to use Sharkie again, but I have forgotten the password (and yes i did set my email address for it..). I gave up trying to figure it out and now I can't get in at all. does anyone know how I can get my password and my ability to get into a SSC zone back?

i can't turn on my sound in ss. If i do so in 10 mins or so the comp automatically shutsdown.... i have no idea whats wrong with it. plz help

If you're alt-tabbed (or windowed and using the chat window, I'd guess, although I haven't tried it), and there's just enough people so that the names list has a scroll bar, if someone leaves (bringing the number of players down to less than what's needed for the scroll bar) while you're dragging the scroll bar, Continuum crashes.

im having a problem with SS every time i enter a zone my screen automacety turns it's self off...and btw i lied im not new...im rubber bullets aka counter terroist...swift will know me but can u tell me what to do...i have tryed installin it over and over...so i dont know

with this new router i got it makes it say when i enter a zone connection server lost and i heard u need to forward ports to a router but im not exactly sure how o and i cant download the server/zones either and it goes green and red together switching on my continuum even if u tell me something else would help still i would like to no how to forward ports to a router

hi. i've never posted here and i've gone through a lot of trouble before i even considered it but i have found nothing on all the forums i've looked through regarding this kind of problem. When i launch continuum, nothing happens, the little hourgl!@#$%^&* appears beside the pointer and doesnt leave. When i look at the task manager, i see the continuum process running, then half a second later there are 2, then 1 disappears, like it is trying to run itsself over and over again. And this wont stop because there isn't enough time to kill both processes. the only thing i can do to stop it is to use an enhanced task manager to block the process or to log off the compu…

Ive been playing SS for a long time now and everything was working fine until last night , i got on.... and got banned and i dont really remember buz i was drunk... but everything looked fine in the morning till i entered ss.. and on the highest rez setting the screen is moved down about an inch.. and its also pincushoined to the sides... (stretched) . How do i fix my in game screen if there is nothing wrong outside of the game? 1280x1024x8 <--rez in ss 1152 by 864 pixels <--- windows 98 rez It is fine on lower rez's but i need a high rez cuz i play in TW and i need to see as much as possible.

whilst im playing my ship keeps going invisible all the time. I cant see it! so this makes it very difficult to play as you can gather because i cant tell which direction im facing >.< also it wont let me change teams and when it seems to have changed teams im still in the same one but it says im in the one i wanted to move to. Confusing :S Apart from that everything else is fine, Does anyone else have this problem? or does anyone know how to fix it? Cheers ~Almighty~

I just got DSL, and since then I have a little problem with Alt-Tab. I can Alt-Tab out just fine, but when I try to get back in Cont "stalls" for a few seconds, and when i get in, I get the DC message. Any ideas whats up?

I can see the server list, i can see the pings changing and all, when i click on any server its shows "connecting to SSCX SERVER NAME" the i see the ship and space moving down sceeen where is says "Entering Arena" and it just stays there... i don't get to the game... it was working fine untill yesterday... Would port triggering have anything to do with it? i am with a Linksys router and cable modem. Thanks Ferris

Dear helpdesk, I've played SubSpace years ago, and only recently found out that it's still played by thousands of gamers. Excuse me for not being able to describe the problem in very few words... I was playing in the Alpha Zone (I, for instance, don't know if it matters in which zone I played, but anyway...), when wanted to view the complete map. For this, I pressed and held the [Alt] key. While keeping this button down, to see the map, I wanted to fly forward at the same time, hence, I pressed and held also the [Forward] button. With these two keys pressed in this order, I could only turn left, and not right. Thus, the combination [Alt]+[Forward]+ doesn't work…

so im tapping along with the beat, its a really fast techno song, and im not hitting up or down arrow, just left and right. Now mind you i'm also a drummer... i hit left right left right left right etc etc and the ship turns clockwise. Comfirmations, declinations? btw using a logitech rf keyboard (might be the reason, but others in pub also had the same experience)
