My continuum wont open. No errors, nothing. The hourgl!@#$%^&* will stay on for hours, and when I open the task manager Continuum is jumping around everywhere, and wont let me end task. Gay? Yes. Ive re-installed continuum several times, anyone else know what could help? -- I also found a program called SurfSideKick, seems to be some kind of bug, but everytime I try to remove it, its being used by another program, and in msconfig, I unchecked it at startup, but it rechecks itself.

My old computer in the spare bedroom used to run Continuum perfectly on 26.4kbps dial up, slow I know but it hardly ever lagged or specced me. Now the old computer does not even play Continuum. I'll goto a server, if I shoot it makes a strange sound, but after a little while it will d/c me saying No data from server or something of that effect. I close Continuum, then about 15-30 seconds later my computer just disconnects from the internet. I just got this computer and I was hoping to be playing Continuum again. I can but no more than like 5 minutes. I look at the screen before entering a server it says 180-200. Normal ping for my 26.4k. However i can enter a serve…

To the admins and moderators of this forum, I apologize for bringing this topic up once again. I am the sysop for SSCX Chaos/League Zone and I am an IT technician by day. I feel I have some insight for the problem that causes Continuum to not load and simply "jump" around in your task manager. I currently run Norton AV 2005, no spyware, or no adware programs on my SS machine. I simply use the popup blocker programs built into IE and the firewall security levels that come with Windows XP. 3 days ago I came across a website that just plain loaded my computer full of spyware. ok ive only just started using continuum on adsl and im using a router im just wondering if its normal for it to have packetloss like it does. if i ping the computer from router or router from comp i get no loss at all. Packet Loss?

I ping my IP and I have no packet loss whatsoever. I'm in a dorm with a T1 connection with a speed of 3626.7 kbps. I've also made it so my firewall doesn't block the game. However everytime I try to play I get booted to spectator mode for packet loss. Help?

anybody have a solution to solving my ?ping problem? I'll enter game and usually i'll have like 60-100 ms, 5 s later I have 500+ ms ?ping. If i look at my Zone Selection screen and look at the ping, it is constantly changing, like it'll go 70, , 70, 90, 500, ect. It's crazy then it'll jump back down for maybe 2 mins and go back up and stay there for a while and then jump back down. Also folders open up pretty slow, same with internet browser. I have a wireless dsl router, but don't think thats why because I've had this for the past like almost 3 years, and never had problems with it except maybe random D/C's. i upgrade my nvidia drivers to version 77, since then i get this weird error everytime i lunch continuum, its on spanish, literally it says: "por favor. compruebe la configuracion de pantalla de su pc" in blue window. Translated would mean: "Please, verifies the configuration of screen of your PC" it sux so i used windows upgrade, and installed version 44. Now i can play on windowed mode, but on normal mode i keep getting the same !@#$%^&* error! PLz advice, as its known im addicted to this game! Wild Luck

!@#$%^&*o, Im sure its been mentioned before.. I've read alot about ?lostp!@#$%^&*word'ing, and have tried to do it on my old alias, Lag Attach. I think I used a fake email address when I signed up, but I could probably verify other details to which one could identify me with. Please if there is any way I could get this alias back in use it would be good, it is the only other one I actively used in Continuum lately. My laptop is kinda screwy me thinks, so I was wondering if anyone here could lend some !@#$%^&*istance. When my laptop is plugged in, my monitor gets darker, and when I unplug it, it gets brighter. This has happened for as long as I have had it, but it flip flops itself sometimes too. Before today, when I had the laptop plugged in, the monitor was brighter, and unplugged it was darker. Now, it changed for no apparent reason. I've checked my power settings and whatnot, but have not found an option to correct this. Lost usernames, seems like an easy thing to get back... but not really. I have now filled out the form to get a lost username back about 5-10 times, I have emailed Mackieman, and spoken to him in person. He told me to wait my turn and he will EMAIL me with my new password. It has now been over a month of waiting, and still no email. Any one have any ideas of what to do, the username has over 2000+ usage on it, and I would really like it back.

when i move everything goes real dark but when im still its normal. avoid page flip option - checked frame limit option - checked disable clipping option - checked software emu option- checked when i dont use software emu safe zones drop my fps to like 7 but works good in open areas and doesnt go AS dark when i move.. any suggestions??

I dont realy know how to start this but here it goes. I been havin problems downloading continuum and i dont know why... i get to the last part where it has 2 boxes you can check off ( launch continuum and View whats new) so i checked them both off and hit finnish, but only the view whats new file comes up and continuum doesnt launch at all. i have no idea what to do or how to keep this from reoccuring.. anyone have any suggestions?

i got a 600kbps net and when i enter continuum i get disconnected after 1 minute of gameplay. this never happened before... i can play other games online, access the internet and even make normal downloads... =anyone can help?

Hey, just to let e1 know, i am having same probs [see http://www.ssforum.net/c/index.php?showtopic=7265 -SOS], but i am running xp home sp2, and xp pro sp2, and on homw comp, it will run on the limited account, but not the admin (i even made a new one to confirm), and on the pro puter, i can get it to run on the admin acct, but i have to close my AV in the services in the admin tools, then close the notification icon as well, then it will run, i havent tried a limited accont on that one yet, but i will, and a m8 is running xp pro, sp2, and runs fine on his, an my uncle is also xp pro, sp and no probs on that either, well i guess thats bill gates and microsoft for you! …

First of all, I know my isp is good--i've had it for a long time and i used to play continuum on it way back when with no problems at all. Now, whenever I go to a place with more than about 2 guys, namely the base in trench wars, my game lags so bad that I can't even move my ship. What do i do?
