Cant play in some zones

There are seven zones on my zones list that i cannot play in. They appear red on my zones list, and whenever I try to connect to them my pc says it cannot find the server. I cant figure out why. I Have .39 prerelease 1, but i since i cannot play, i wonder if i messed something up. The seven zones are SSCC Counterstrike, SSCC Superships 2, SSCE Chaos Zone, SSCE Star Wars Realm, SSCU Redstar, SSCX A Small Warzone, and SSCX Dueling League.

I cannot play with .39

hi i am having problems gettin on the 0.39 contiuum i need to use it for ssci halo cant play without i have upgraded the 038 but give error saying unable to retrieve zone listings,i can play 038 still but 39 cant do can u help?

!@#$%^&*o everyone, im having some problems lately. I have been experiencing some very high packetloss, But only C2S wise. Sometimes when i try downloading zones it gets to 3% then "Warning Dissconnected From Server". Happends in the new DS zone, and Halo. And also at Hyperspace zone its ever more weird. I get dissconnected with an error of "Warning Dissconected from to many reliable retrys" and dissconects. The weird thing about the C2S though is.. it starts off high when i enter the zone, then rapidly / normaly lowers. My friend Witchie NL dosent know if its my ISP or somthing else. He said each time i enter a zone, i should get a file called 'Packet.txt" or w/e.. b…

ok, so whenever i alt+tab and try to access the menus (view, options, etc..) the menu turns blank, and continuum crashes...any ideas?

Hi guys! First, excuse my english. I´m using the Windows XP SP2. The Continuum is not working on my machine, when I open, I don´t receive any message of error and the splash screen doesn´t appear. When I see all running process, I see the Continuum process running, but he is unstable (he is appearing and disappearing and I can´t finish him). If somebody can help, at once, thanks you!

ok everything works fine and all the right lights are blinking on the modem and crap but then i go to click the play button and everything that is highlighted green is highlighted green but i click play its fixin 2 go 2 full screen and the lights go off on the modem and a popup window comes up sayin my connection 2 the server has been lost...HELP I WANNA PLAY P.S. i restarted my computer twice and the 1st time that i tried 2 play the game..IT WORKED!...HELP ME PLEASE

Maybe someone could put together a list of zones, their ip's and ports, and put it up on sscentral, so people don't have to rely on the directory servers. Have a green light/red light thingy in it so people can tell when they're down, etc.

I played Continuum/SS for a few years, starting in 1998 or so. Now I thought it would be nice to play a bit again, so I installed 0.38 on my current system, and updated to 0.39 pr1. I'm running XP Pro SP2, fairly up to date patches, etc., and Bitdefender. The problem is: I can't download the zone lists. I am using the dafault servers, which are the same as someone suggested in another thread. I've tried without a firewall, though Bitdefender normally works flawlessly for me. My name doesn't use any illegal characters. Is there something obvious I'm missing? If I refredh the zone list I get the "Unable to retrieve zone listing..." message. Thanks for reading, and help…

Im very stuck right now. I want to hose a server but I am on a LINKSYS router. When I try to host, the zone turns up red and i cant enter. I remember someone guided me through this problem once but now i am stuck again. Can someone please help me with this?

I have just started playing this !@#$%^&*ed game again, but I have an LCD now. I am pretty sure this is a problem with the monitors I play on and not the computer or the game. But, as I fly objects like walls seem to flicker and not display correctly, also names of other players become very hard to read.

!@#$%^&*o, not many of you may remember me, anyway on to the topic. My friend has recently downloaded Subspace Continuum and he is having a sort of trouble. When he "double clicks" on the Subspace Continuum icon he can sit there for hours and yet it still doesn't open, not even the red-sky saying CONTINUUM in it opens up. What should we do?

Well, I recently had a problem with the prerelease1 in the past. [fatal error thing] so I switched back to the original version. This has been working well since today. Until it suddenly did not work. I did not install anything / no viruses / no spyware / no registry changes etc. I cannot get a DR. WATSON report as the process is running in the background but nothing shows up. When I try to disable the process in WINDOWS TASK MANAGER, it gives this error: Unable to Terminate Process The operation cannot be completed The operation is not valid for this process. I dunno but I have been hearing about people reporting that this new SSCX Host in Dallas or w/e is bugging up and is lagging people up. Normally because I'm in Australia my MS is only around 250-270 but since this new SSCX thing my MS and connections go double. Ping is always like around 400-350 and my C2S/S2C is very high. My ping does go back to normal but only when it's 1:00am here, you people know us MEN and WOMEN do work, not live on this spaceships game.

I am losing my packets in several different hops, Although some are decreasing during the traces, 3 aren't getting better, they are hop 6, 11, & 12, all of which have a 99.5% packet loss. I have Highspeed Cable Internet, full permissions for my firewall, no trojan viruses, a valid user name and password, and no other programs running that have internet access. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this? I ran 226 cycles in my trace. i didn't know where to post this.... maybe in dev? in any case, when you enter a zone that requires .39 and you're using .38, the prompt asking you if you want to download the latest version doesn't work. it's a download bar that never progresses, oh my.
