Can't download new zones

Right now only Gauntlet is on to play, when I try and download new zones it says it cant connect. i already set my firewall to allow continuum to connect through though...and connecting to gauntlet to play works fine help?

Is this possible at all? Or does the program have to be installed on C:? I need to find a way to be online from school and we don't get access to install stuff on C: ;P! Any bright ideas? ;X

You may have made a mistake entering it. Thats what I get with whatever I do. How do I make a new account or something so that I can start over with continuum Thats all I want I cant get it to send a new password or anything and I dont know how to make a new account with continuum Someone help..

Ok, well I have another problem. (Whats going on.. ffs) I turn on my computer. K yea, fine. Then, On my desktop I click continuum.. Fatal Error message. wtf? I go in Do!@#$%^&*ents and settings > Administrator > Desktop and Continuum > Run As.. and it works. When I close it, nothing works and I have to restart my computer just to turn on continuum again. Help

I've upgraded my computer to the latest java version. Now, whenever i use a program that requires java (limewire, azureus, etc) i run into problems with ss. While playing continuum and having these programs running in the background, my computer would get a black screen when i minimize. The cursor is there and i am able alt+tab back into the ss. When i try to esc+q continuum, the program exit and my background is still black. The only way for my screen to get back to normal is to put it in standby and get back in or restarting it. Once again, the cursor is visible and moveable but the screen behind it is black. When i uninstalled java 1.5 and went back to 1.4.…

Normally I have a good connection when I play Continuum but the past week I have noticed I am dropped from DD games due to High Packet Loss. I read a few other threads and did a Trace. Please advise me if you see anything that could explain it. Thanks in advance. I use Avast Anti Virus, Spywareblaster, Adaware, and regularly clean my PC and keep it running smooth. Heres the problem About 2 months ago I started getting some nasty !@#$%^&* lag like 2% s2c and c2s in everyzone except mg. I usually stay in the zone for 2 mins then disconnected for 23% s2c. Before, my highest was 2%, which was rare. I never had this problem, and it's very annoying.

i have a problem with downloaded skins. i save them to the skins file in the continuum folder in prog files but dont know how to use them as a skin. when i click on the skins drop down menu it still only says pipe dream, ceinwyn and defauly. ne1 have a solution?

Hey guys, i've got a similar problem to the one the guy below had "menu problem" topic. When i start up continuum, all is good until i try and click on a menu. The it starts to "fade in" and stops and hangs. the continuum process starts sucking up 100% of the cpu and will stay that way until killed from the proccess list. i tried switching back to the default windows xp theme, which doesnt seem to help. Im using (normally) the windows classic theme (no modifications). I recently bought a new computer and should mention that Continuum works fine on my old computer even with McAfee firewall on. On this one, what happens is the client opens and only SSCB RedStar, SSCE Hockey Zone, and SSCI-A Pirates! show players and ping times - every other server shows green with 0 ping and 0 players and cannot connect. When I try to download a new zone list, it says "Unable to retrieve new zone listing. Make sure you are using one or more valid direct or server addresses. Also, make sure you are currently connected to the internet." I have tried turning the firewall off - doesnt work - I have tried turning it on and opening port 4990, doesnt work.…

First of all, I need to forward a port for uTorrent since I'm using a router. So, I forward it, and it tells me it's not open. I went to portforwarding.com and read the uTorrent guide for my router and followed all the instructions. It still tells me it's not open. What can I do? I have a linksys router, model WRT54G v4.

Odd thing is, the audio works at initializatoin (the thunderclap) and on the main screen (where you choose zones), but not in any zones (even those with custom audio like MetalGear CTF). I'm temporarily using this ancient 'puter, a Dell Optiplex GXa. It has a Crystal Audio soundchip and, unfortunately, there do not appear to be any drivers for that are more recent than the ones included with Win2000 (believe me, I've looked). My only other game that I have that will run on a system this slow, my old Master of Orion II, has sound that works. DXDIAG reports audio buffering doesn't work, but all the tests work. The issue is that the game installer is flawed. I have e-mailed the creator and other web admins about the issue, and a fixed installer will be available shortly. For now, here is the manual fix: Close Continuum if it is open Go to C:\Windows\system32 Copy or Cut (preferably just copy to be safe) the folder named Sound Go to C:\Program Files\Continuum (or wherever you've installed it) and paste this in there Open Continuum, and you should have in-game sounds Continuum's menu sounds are included in one of the dlls, so you might get sound in the menu, but not in game. Weird Sound Problems

Hi there, Ive been playing SS for a good 3years now, 1year on the pc im on now. But strangely, about 20mins ago when I popped onto SS, then sounds for enemies firing at me has gone all weird. For some reason, its extremly faint, and only goes normal/louder when I have been killed O.o Also, when I fire bombs are certain places on a wall, the sound for my bomb is none existant. I tried looking through profile on sound, but I cant see anything different, so im !@#$%^&*uming its a bug of some sort. Any help please peeps? ~Dave

Hey, I'm having trouble networking two PCs together and my xbox. It used to be working all fine for a very long time then it suddenly stopped working. I went and fooled around with properties and probably made everything alot worse. It worked when I reset the router thing but then it stopped again the day after and ive not been able to get it going again. Can anyone help?
