i just reloaded continuum after reformatting my hd. Whenever i join any zone and some1 who is firing guns gets within 1 screen of me, i get this electronic grinding sound (idk how else to describe it). This never happens when im firing my own weapon and i checked the .wv2 sound files and they are fine. any1 know what in the world this is? i have sound set to 0 cuz the noise is probably the most headache provoking noise you can ever imagine. if i hated some1 and wanted to torture them, i would play this noise. my audio drivers, chipset drivers, and bios are all updated. this happens with no other program pent d 3.2ghz geforce 7900gt foxconn 955 mobo onboard so…

I seem to always experience a low FPS upon entering if i enter as a spectator. As soon as i enter a ship, it goes back to normal. anyone know what could cause this? (low = 1-10fps, norm = 40-100fps)

Continuum hangs for a few minutes when entering a zone

My client hangs for 1-2 minutes (100% cpu) when I enter a zone. Once I'm in the zone everything seems normal. It does not do it in safe mode. It does so it under a different user account. I have no firewall, spyware, adware or antivirus software installed. It does it on totally different networks too. Specs: Vista Ultimate 32bit PM 1.7 (oc'ed to 2.26) 2gb ram Nvidia go 6800

Hi all. I'm using Kubuntu 7.10 (64-bit version) and I downloaded SnrrrubSpace (the Subspace client for Linux), but I can't install it. Since I don't have Windows on this computer, I'm trying to make a clean install of SnrrrubSpace, but I get the following error: "./space: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" I installed three libraries from the Adept Manager to see if I could solve the problem: libgtk1.2 libgtk1.2-common libgtk1.2-dbg And I kept getting the same error. Since I really dont feel like s!@#$%^&*ing out $100 to get the Xbox 360 wireless adapter, a friend told me to use wireless on my laptop, and then connect my xbox through my laptop's ethernet. Well, fine. I did that, i bridged both connections and it works Foward 2 minutes later. Apparently, i get disconnected because my wireless radio turned off, yet i never clicked any button at all. I unchecked the following button, and it did nothing OS: Vista anyone got any ideas? or any other solutions that i can get my xbox online without having to s!@#$%^&* out 100 bucks?

Ok, this is an update from my previous topic about my router problem. Read about it HERE. Ok, now... If I enable wireless, the entire network lags, whether anyone connects to it or not. I've checked to see if maybe my neighbors were stealing it or something.. and no one is. So, I decided to borrow a router from my buddy just to see if I encounter the same problem and sure enough, I do. Am I blind or is this an obvious interference problem? I have a Linksys WRT54G v4 Wireless Router and I'm having a little trouble with the wireless. If I enable wireless on my router, I start lagging a little bit.. if anyone connects to my wireless, I start lagging ridiculously to the point where I can't get to any websites. What can cause this? Keyboard Problem

So when i press the left arrow my shift rotates left when i press the back arrow it moves back, all normal but if i try to move my ship left while going backwards it doesn't work just flies backwards i can do it back and to the right but not to the left, also when i press the up arrow i can't use all or esc, or anything but i can still fly forward to the left and right but no esc or alt work...

Make sure you are using one or more valid directory server addresses (Example: sscentral.subspace.net) Also, make sure you are currently connected to the internet. I had that problem where continumm opens and closes rapidly, I did everything said in the post relevent to my situation. Now i'm trying playing on a guest account and it seems to be working, but it will not let me download the map files..or atlest I think that's what they are. it just closes and give me the error message Unable to create zone's\SSCU trenchwars\trench3.lvl , when trying to enter trenchwars zone.

Overlapping text and graphics

Well, I don't know if this has been addresed before, but when I run continuum it does a couple f strange things. the first one is that I can't read any text, it looks as if its overlapped by other textr or something and its impossile to read. This includes chat text, player names, kill enter and leave messages etc, anything thats a string, variable or number. Sometimes if I minimize the screen and then full screen again, i can see the text in the screen for a few seconds(until someone types something i think.) I'm having trouble getting into my zone. I did the port forwarding stuff already, and when I open subbill and subgame2, it shows me a zone warning and then when I click yes, it just shows me the loading screen with the moving stars... anyone know what's wrong? I think it's the ini but not sure what's wrong.
