Well, I had Continuum installed on my Flash Stick and I could play it fine until 1 day ago, I woud click it, my mouse would become a Sandbox thingy for a second then dissapear, and it would never show up in Task Manger, I tried running in Compatibilty mode for windows 98 and it said "Fatal Error 000013b" or something, and yes, i tried installing it to the computer and same problem, I did a sytem restore to 2 weeks before, installed ad aware, did a full systems scan, found nothing, removed ad aware, scanned for virus's, turned off firewalls and so on, still not working, and yes, i re-installed it. So, any help at this point is welcome

hey, i'm trying to get ubuntu installed on my computer but i'm having some trouble. first i tried wubi, but it never works. it installs but when i reboot it gives me this very odd installation. then itried burning an image (.iso) to a cd. then i reinserted the cd and nothing happens. i also tried booting with the cd and nothing happens. i don't know what i'm doing wrong, any help? yes i am a newb to linux.

how do i make it go back to normal. I can't see messages one after another, instead I just get a single message and a tree outline of the topic below it. This happened once before and it's stupid.

Sooo i have HDMI problems with my new 42 inch plasma Insignia TV. I plug up my PS2, and play GH3. And it's not typical "Audio/video delay" My system is actually taking longer to recognize when I've pushed a button. I push down, and .75 seconds, the cursor/highlight moves down. It doesn't do this with any other TV in my house.. is this an HDMI problem!? HALP!

I've been getting lag specced in SSCE Hyperspace the last couple of days, it tells me the server to client packetloss % is too high. The first day it was only happening once every 10-20 minutes or so, now it's within a minute or two of logging in every time. I'm on Comcast Cable 8mbs, and I went ahead and ran a trace over a hundred cycles...I also attached the text file since the formatting is kind of hard to read. I keep getting knocked off into spectator mode. I close down SS completely and rechoose Spider that is set up also in my profile and after plying for just a couple minutes I sent into spectator mode again. Please let me know what I can do. My Prof is HH and my player name is DDIVE1. Thanks.

When I go to enter a few zones (hyperspace,halo,fusion) the client enters and begins to download. When I reach a certain point in the download it exits and says "Unable to create zones\SSCE Hyperspace\commands.hlp". I would really appreciate some help with this.

I need help identifying the brand of this stick on the sticker it says: 1GB, DDR DIMM, Q A0TQD PO#132238 !@#$%^&*EMBLED IN USA on the module it says hynix 719 C HY5DU12822CTP-043 KOR MCEA6010XQ1 now is the brand name of the stick HYNIX? or is that just who made the modules? i remember buying these particular RAM sticks at Best Buy but i dont remeber HYNIX on the package

I have no idea what happened... came back from minimized, and i found my resolution was !@#$%^&*ed up and my ship was off centered etc.... (See pic) the std continuum screenshot basically shows this extended out -> and down the same length as the resolution i have it set as (making the top left of the window [0:0]) i havent been able to replicate it, but wtf?

I've been getting S2C packet loss on Trench Wars recently, sometimes it's at 1% which is OK but it also gets to about 8% which means I can't play in TWD matches. I did a trace route and it showed that I was getting almost 100% loss on 2 of the IP addresses. Hi, I've heard of a log program that will log each day separately and automatically. IE: Every time you leave/enter a zone, you don't have to ?log name, it will do it by itself..and it will organize the logs by dates. Can anyone give it to me? It'd really help me out. Thanks!

hi, i have problem connecting to any zone of continuum. I use the 0,40 on windows XP. http://http//www.geocities.com/frankidoo28/3.JPG low pings http://www.geocities.com/frankidoo28/2.JPG it doesn't download the zones at all http://www.geocities.com/frankidoo28/1.JPG disconnects me saying i got too many outgoing packets Can anyone help me?

What ports are required for Cont to run? I know i need the zone port (and zone port +1) fowarded by UDP protocol, but what else do i need? or is that it? (trying to see if i can get the resnet people to open up a few ports and foward all of them to my computer

I'm enjoying those fun problems of a super high S2C count, which I thought was the same problem as everyone else and would get fixed in time ... it kinda did. I had the same problem at home and that fixed itself and my lag is fine there, only when I'm at uni I still have super high S2C, which is higher than it ever was at home. Admiring my trace I realised there might be more to it than I thought. I'm gonna try and set up my inet without my router to see if that helps, though it failed last time I tried. If that fails I'm gonna email my ISP and see if I can get my gateway changed, see if that gets me anywhere. But in the mean time I thought I'd post my trace here and see …

!@#$%^&*le almost says it all. I've tried every single version of Continuum/subspace available (38, 39pr1, 0.40) but every time continuum uses 100% of cpu, then closes, then 2 other continuum processes open, they close within less than a second. I can't kill the process since it closes & opens too quickly. All I can do is a loggoff then on again or restart. This happens on BOTH of my computer, even if I kill all non-essential processes. Help!

I had to re-download SS, and I can't download the zone directory list. It says, "unable to retrieve new zone listing. Make sure you're using one ore more valid directory, etc, etc" Here are the directories I've tried: ssdir.playsubspace.com,sscentral.subspacedownloads.com,sscen ral.sscuservers.net,sscentral.trenchwars.org Lastly, I have all firewalls and anti-virus off. I use: Free AVG AVG Anti-Spyware Zone Alarm (free) (SS is also on the exception list) Windows Firewall=off

Is there any way to get this game working on Linux these days? It seems that the project whose page is available at wine.getcontinuum.com is still stuck on Continuum v0.39, thus making it impossible to play the game, as when I try, I'll get prompted to download the new version, and make the game crash. I tried using the patched Wine method to work with Continuum 0.40, but everytime I try logging in into any server, it will reject me as if the username was already in use or if I had input the password incorrectly (I'm pretty sure of this, tried random usernames without avail). I'd love to know if the Linux project is still active or if I just should lose all hope on ge…

If you are having trouble connecting to a zone or a directory server, check your Antivirus, spyware and adware software to make sure they arent conflicting with Continuum ALSO CHECK NETWORK AND PERSONAL FIREWALLS!!!

!@#$%^&*o, my nickname in ss is Krash 911. I got into playing for the first time in years and tried out this zone, hyperspace, and I have to say it is really great. my problem is that I was able to log in and play fine last night, but now whenever I log in it says I am "no data coming from server". I have no idea why this happens because all the other zones work for me. I figured out that I could log on to chatnut and then get into hyperspace sometimes, but that is, obviously, an extra step that nobody should have to deal with. please help thanks a million, K
