After playing in HyperSpace for a while i decided to un-window to duel, when i esc Q'd i noticed my zones list was empty. So I went into Zones and proceeded to download the zones, but i run into a few problems, here take a look.

My vid card has both DVI-D and VGA interfaces. My current monitor is a 22" Dell which has both plugs. I want to get another one, so do I just plug the second monitor into the VGA port, or would it be better to get another vid card? I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT vid card.

I'm having trouble with my menus on Windows Vista. Any time i click a menu, it doesn't display the menu item until i highlight it. if i switch menus on the same toolbar, then go back, it works fine. anyone have any idea?

So after not having played SS since college, I just reinstalled and logged into EG ready for some serious flagging. Much to my dismay, I was instantly specced for high packetloss. I did some forum research and it looks like I may be a victim of the hopone problem. Please people I need help. I can't live withous SSContinuum: I don't play the game since 2-3 days ago. Today I logged in and I joined Trench Wars. After some minutes I have been put is Spectator Mode because of high packetloss percent. I typed ?ping and my C2S was over 20%. Now i closed all my P2P progs, my Messengers and Firefox, too but I'm still going putted in Spectator Mode. What can I do?

K so, since I can't get anything dev'd cuz everyone is busy with pub and stuff in MG, i've been trying to get my zone up and running to dev., and like a year ago it was running fine being hosted off my comp. I did the port thing and all that junk and it was working fine. So Now It Won't Work for some reason. I've tried messing with the files, like getting a brand new server folder form ssdls and pasting all my server files into it. It's probably something really minor and dumb but like I said I haven't done this in like a year so I really don't remember how to do much. when ever i enter a zone or anything while downloading the level an error message pops up and says unable to create file (then file name).lvl. Just wondering how i can fix this i tried to redownload continuum and that didnt work.

I just downloaded Continuum after playing it at a friends house, but it wont let me enter trench-wars because Im "banned" even though I've never played. I've tried E-mailing the Bans21@trenchwars.org to figure out whats happening, and no-one will respond. Whats the deal?

I read the sticky about the invalid passwords for user names, and it mentioned that returning user names may have been deleted due to inactivity. My question is how long does it take for a user name to be deleted for inactivity? My apologies in advance if I'm in the wrong forum. Thanks

Google couldn't help me with that one... Basically, at some point in my lab report, I was unable to save in the docx format. -Doing 'Save' popped up the 'Save as...' dialog (not normal) -While the dialog is up, Word's process takes 100% cpu... well, 50% since I have a dual core, so it's probably just one thread doing an infinite loop -The file I save it to is 0 bytes -Saving as 2003 format (.doc) works fine I'm thinking it has to do with equations in my do!@#$%^&*ent (Word saves equations as images when saving in 2003 format) What the !@#$%^&*? Yes, it is possible for an antivirus to make a false positive. It's also very possible for the antivirus to go ape!@#$%^&* and move Continuum.exe to a quarantine folder without your consent. What about the people who had viruses, got rid of them, and SS still doesn't want to run? In a nuts!@#$%^&*, disable (FIRST) or uninstall your antivirus. Download Cont again and install to a bunk directory (c:\ss). Copy Continuum.exe and paste it in the old directory. It should work. I installed windows XP and got it all setup and ran continuum and got horrible fps for the computer i was on. I have a 8600GT vid card and a 5000 64 X2 Athlon processor with all the latest drivers and latest directX and I am getting below 30-40fps on maps with many tiles. My crappy laptop runs continuum better. O_o I checked my CPU usage while playing the game and it is high. Continuum is using like 50% of my processor. When I play counter strike source with 11 bots it doesn't even use that much! Why is it that when I try to access the esc+c menu in my zone, it just *getfiles me an empty server.set file? So right now, when I need to change a setting, i need to *getfile server.set (if I do it like that, it sends me my actual server.set file, not some random empty one) edit it, and then *putfile it back into the arena... It's a pain in the !@#$%^&*, and I just know I'm doing something wrong. Help please. :>

I've run into several problems trying to re-install continuum, finally after getting everything all set up and ready to go I was about to have my first game in ages! As I was connecting I got abruptly disconnected and the error message came up "unable to create zones\sscu Trench Wars\trench3.lvl" *sigh* Anyone have any ideas? Would be much appreciated.
