Is it possible to change the default folder that continuum saves a getfile or pulls a putfile from? A registry edit perhaps?

Since MikeTheNoise (sic) no really, (sick), has his topic locked, I will compliment him on how easy he makes technical support in game. If only everyone who had an IT job who played ss felt the same way... But then again, maybe he doesn't want to test the chat channel limits.... I wanted a few ships from different ship sets wich i downloaded, but when i tried to fix it in ships set customizer v.1.0 they didnt roll afterwards, and also there is a black square around all ship, very annoying, how can i mix different ship sets and stil have them rolling, and without that stupid black square?!

usb joystick support?

hi sorry if being repetitive here, but i looked around and couldn't find this issue. i've never been good at keyboarding so i want to use my usb joystick but nothing responds in the edit controller definitions. i've checked my gamepad and the o/s recognizes it. i'm assuming continuum doesn't support usb gamepads? continuum is such a good game. i've been playing it off and on since it came out commercially. if there is no usb gamepad support i'm willing to put an old joystick card in my puter and find an older gamepad to use. will it then work with the old-style gamepads? or is joystick support gone? thanks in advance for your help.

I cant Download a new Zone, but it said: Unable to retrieve new zone listing. Make sure you are using one or more valid directory server addresses ( example: sscentral.subspace.net). Also, make sure you are currently connected to the internet. I want to play Dessert storm and Metal Gear, but i can because this. What i need to do ? Greetz, Goovuurt.

Horrible FPS

I'm getting horrible FPS on my laptop. It's pretty old, it's about 3-5 years old. I get about 10-20 fps in fullscree \ window mode. I use the res 1024 x 768. I've tried lower resolutions but it's just way to hard to play on a little screen that small. I'm running windows professional sp 1 ( I know I should update to sp2) Processor: Intel Pentium 3 1000MHZ Memory: 494MB I've tried the advanced options and turned on everything and then turned off everything and only put on a few options. Is there anything else I can do in the options to help me maybe get better fps?

I remember the first time I download continuum I use to connect to zone immediately but now it takes about 20 seconds for me to enter a zone. What could be causing this? I don't really have anything runny but Xfire, avast (virus scanner) and maybe teamspeak/ventrilo.. Nothing that will really slow down my computer. Has this happened to anyone else? And is there a way to fix it if it's just continuum?

Server Problems

Last few weeks i dont get any good connection (ping770) with Trech Wars in the Zeeland region of the Netherlands. Also other friend have this problem. It's mostly between 12.00 - 18.00, is this server-overload? My internet connection works perfectly normal so that's not the problem. Can someone please advice ??? THANKS !!!

Okay so i think ive gotten enough ASSS known to get the server UP. it is now on the list(ChronoContinuum) but unconnectable, how do i fix? or is it just cause i dont have a zone host(yet)? i still have yet to 1:customize ship Models-I suck at drawing on the internet lawl but with a decent program and a tutorial i could work it out eventualy.i dont plan on using the Models right off the bat anyways 2:Add custom items to the ?buy menu-i think the word "Huh?" describes what i know about that -.- 3:Fine-Tune the ships energy,Fire rate,firepower,shrap,shrap damage and the map The map i can do myself but if you have any pointers for me id gladly hear them out Thx everyone…

everytime i start up continuum it says "The host name specified for the proxy may be invaild. Check your settings under view/proxy options. Make sure you are online how do i fix this?

Think its possible to change your key definitions like you do with your macros? Im sure its not now, but what would making it that way entail? Just curious. My boyfriend and I play and it would be simpler to change it without wsc+qing...

At my workplace all the zones appear red and I cannot download a directory server listing. As a result, it is to my conclusion that they probably have the ports necessary for Continuum to function correctly (with the exception of 4990-1) are blocked. Is there a way to go around this or bypass the block?

Hi everybody! About 12 days ago now, I started getting major packetloss in Extreme Games. When I do a trace, I get the below stats, which after every cycle raise more and more until about after 50 cycles I am at 98% pl and still rising. I've already: 1) contacted my ISP (at&t, I have a 6mbps connection) who sent out a "tech" who said he "thought" I needed a new modem. I've replaced the modem, and am still having the same issues. 2) via dslreports.com, I've tested my hops and found that I do get huge packet loss from my fourth hop, which seems to affect subsequent servers downline. 3) tried pinging extreme games IP for packetloss directly (not connecting via the …

Hi, I have never had this problem before I reformatted..its been about 6months-1yr that I have had a desire to install Continuum on my laptop, and now I install it..and the gfx are all messed up. The gfx are all 'inverted' (if you've ever used the feature on windows pic editor). Any help would be appreciated! Confess

Ok so a few weeks ago my LG L226WTQ started failing in color, it turned too bright and when I lowered it's brightness (from my default color) it was too dark for games but I figured what the hell and ignored it for awhile. 2 weeks after it affected my res for subspace, I could login with 1600 but my ship would be in the lower right corner and the map non existant I tried it in my desktop and the same problem was there, all my icons were dragged to the left and I couldn't see the bottom bar at all. If I tried to manually move the screen(horizontally/vertically) I would only see black space instead of my icons. So before I took it to the tech I plugged it in my brothers …

I don't know why the f this stupid os vista keeps making continuum jump. I am so angry at this point, im playing 2-10 in games i should be playing 15-10 in because it' jumping so bad I cant even dodge literally. I'll just float to my death, when i should be able to curve and dodge but the f'in screen gets so locked up it wont even register the arrow keys sometimes.
