Currently, SSC allows any user to speak on a squad chat, for example: ":#WoOgLE:.?buy skill". Keep as-is, or restrict the "official" squad chat? If implemented, the ?chat restrictions may offer a feature to only allow the chat owner to specify which squad member's may join.

Tilesets and maps are definatley not my strong point, not when im working from scratch. So I am looking for someone who is willing to spend a bit of time on a new Map and Tileset. I'm trying to keep the theme kind of retro, but right now i'd almost accept anything. The position awarded for this task is Sysop. Well I started out using png files, but even with PNG Crush, the filesize was rediculous. The png shipset was about 1.34mb! So I changed them all to jpg and it went down to around 530kb! But once again had another setback. As soon as I changed format, the ships decided to film black pixels around the ships and I can't remove it with MS Paint. I used the Fill With Color function with the color blue to see all the damage done. So, since I'm not going to let you continue to evade this question: Exactly what reason do you have for not releasing the source? A quick recap of this mess: - The source provides no additional functionality or thread beyond that of the Oracle. in the game project, i noticed a directx folder and an opengl folder. can you explain what you intend to put/code in these folders? are going to do the same thing for both? just curious because it seems to me now that you are doing massive coding twice inorder to support both 3d renderers/engines.

Hey people. I'm a dev guy myself as well, however, I do lack some really really good map skills.. has anyone ever seen the C&C zone me and a couple others have put together? Hail, I've been instructed by one of the sysops of Chaos Zone to seek out some decent bot coders/developers, and as I'm having a hard time doing so I remembered that we have access to a group of dedicated people who are willing to help in any way they can, which are the SSDev. Alright, Chaos uses four different bots in pub and while this is fine it gets pretty tedious having to manage the four bots, and three of them have horrible coding which causes them to constantly crash randomly and it tends to throw off the game badly. We want to basically re-code all the bots and merge them into one. Now this is a pretty big job, but just think of the amount of people who play…

I'm seeking your feedback to determine whether or not this should make a blip on my radar for development or not. With SSC, you may only leave 1 message to a user. If you try to send multiple messages your previous message is lost and replaced with the new. My proposal would allow for a mailbox type of system. You may be allowed X number of messages in the box, but may be from any individual. Main Objective: Get as much money as possible so that you can buy everything you need. Overview: Ship 1 is to look like a person. Ships 2-8 are cars. New players will only have access to ship 1, with a small amount of money in their bank. I was thinking of making an anti cheat program that runs along with SubSpace2, and will be shown only in the little icons by the clock, kind of like GameGuard and other programs like that, and if the user will close the anti cheat, then subspace will close also. Anti cheat program will look for if cheat engine is running, DLL injectors, or anything of that sort. Another idea is to create a launcher, by that I mean, to play SS2 you'll have to open up a program, it checks for updates, and if there are any it downloads them, and starts game, and if there are none, then it just starts the game... I have found someone that is new to making plugins, and has run into some problems, and doesn't have a ton of time to devote to this. I need anyone to help. I had made a post about this a while ago, and now someone is trying. The plugin in sets up missions for players to do for points, on 4 different levels. Easy, Med, Hard, and Expert. It also needs to ignore the players request if that player has completed a mission within 'X' amount of time. Firstly, open your editor (I used Adobe Fireworks CS3). Create a new file which is 304x160 (tileset size) - and select "View -> Grid -> Edit Grid" - And set the grid to 16x16. Then, get the horizontal and vertical tiles which you have previously created, and place them as if they're about to be connected with a corner tile. We are about to create the diagonal tile. Anyone interested in this? Bascially would allow easy development of any program using the subspace protocol (bot/client/biller/another game) Hides all the nastyness of encryption logging in etc etc and provides basically Connect (speicify host) //client Bind(port no) //server Start session(encyrpion type (null/subgame/custom/continuum ) A variety of SendPacket method (in any one of the many subspace ways, normal, reliable, stream, chunk etc) RecievedPacket Event Allows multiple connections.
