I liked the walltiles but in SSCC Desert Storm we use 3D wall's like other zones start to use to. Cant there be 2 types of walltiles? 1 for normal walls and 1 for 3D walls. - normal walls: 4x4 tiles (64x64 pixels) - 3D walls : 4x5 tiles (64x80 pixels)

Some people have been complaining that drawing walltiles in a selection doesnt attach them to the map tiles outside of it... However, I wouldnt find it logical if it did, because a selection is "floating", its a totally different layer and has nothing to do with map under it until you drop it. Making it attach to map when selection hasnt been moved, however, would be kind of logical Could also make an option for it, with 3 choices being: Always, Only when moved selection (default), and Never. yeah... that would seem to be the best choice imo In current version, there might be some cases where selection attaches to map, but it shouldn't and it will be changed (please r…

What is with the "Latest source code available on request"? too annoying to add it all the time Selection menu stuff: * I like the menu * "Select all tiles in screen" adds to the selection instead of actually selecting the tiles on screen. Basically, a tool that hollows out the shape you apply it on. A 20x20 rectangle becomes a hollow rectangle. Same for selection - it hollows out every object in the selection and leaves only the borders.

What is the difference between "Current walltiles" and "Complete walltiles"? Do PTM and then use Convert to WT. It just fills the entire area with the "single" tile. Selecting big areas with control+a sometimes gives an out-of-range error.

the flip/rotate and resize only works with selection, but they are still in edit as most programs put them there because they also work without a selection. Now my question, would moving them to the selection menu be better, or is it good where they are now

since ive been using DCME ive always needed to copy a map i am editing coz ALOT of times when a map gets big and uses alot of tiles, and you try to save it it saves properly and does everything correct, but then when you close DCME and re-open the map the tileset is grey (thats what i copyed the map for so the tileset isnt lost). How can this happen and can this be fixed? its realy annoying. mostly when you reopen the map and the tileset is grey and import a tileset again and then save it it is fixed but last time i kept having that problem for like 10 times. re-saving->re-open->re-importing tileset etc. etc. This problem is realy weird coz sometimes it saves prop…

Which would you prefer ? The first option will copy regardless of there are not so many tile 0's, which leads to double walls. The second option checks the line to be copied from the source with the next line from the source, and compares the number of tile 0's on those lines. This will significantly decrease the amount of double walls, but introduces some holes in the walls (more like distortions) The third is actually the same as the second but also checks with the one next of the next one, which could remove double walls some more, but introduce a lot more gaps (don't mind the asteroids, it still doesn't keep that in mind) Edit: hm, seems like the gaps were …

Well, I gave this a shot since I need an editor that can use the 'special' tiles, but now Im quickly deleting it for a few reasons: - Every map saved is saved with a full black tileset, rendering the map useless. - Unless I work with a tiny window, it runs slow as all !@#$%^&*. - The selection area isnt drawn until after Ive released the mouse button. - Every tool likes to start in the tile to the right of the tile Ive got my mouse over. And thats all I found within 10 minutes of using it. I dont see how you guys missed a few of this (specifically the tileset issue), as its clear as day. For now, Im using !@#$%^&*.

When you get elvl support can you use a script based system for the chunks? This way ASSS module coders can just write a new human readable script to create new custom region types. Example contents of a script file for the existing autowarp region: rAWP x:16:X coord in tiles to warp to. y:16:Y coord in tiles to warp to. arena:char16:Destination arena or blank for same arena. With that feature (that I haven't even tested yet), we could make sub-releases each time we fix something and put it up as the latest update, without uploading it here on the forum. We could just make a new release when relatively major fixes are done... 1.2.30 | | | | | | | subrelease | | | | | release | | | version | that will only change when lvz's or elvl stuff are added or maybe with the tileset editor too or we just increment the 2nd digit faster and go to 1.3, 1.4 etc. each time we post a release whatever

well i gave it some thought and in some occasions (like move or hand) there is a lot of data that is recalculated every time, while it was still valid. So instead of redrawing every tile in updatelevel, do this: for when a selection is active - bitblt the old piclevel onto the piclevel with the difference in offset for the selection moved that way, the selection doesn't need to be drawn again - iterate over every tile, draw those who aren't in the selection (as every tile not in selection will have the wrong offset) - when tiles in selection, only draw those whose tiles became visible that were previously not (like moving to the left for 4 tiles) will bitblt with …

I compiled v1.2.2 with all the latest bug fixes, however, some new problems seem to have appeared... I'd like if you could confirm or give details about these problems as I did not / do not have much time to test. And it's compiled with my french VB ... so.. When I exit DCME using Window's X in the corner of the window, the process doesn't close. If I exit using File->Exit, the process closes properly.

I downloaded the v1.2.1 from this forum (although, in the About box, DCME says it's version 1.2.3). I use the selection tool to select an area of tiles, then move those tiles somewhere. Then press the Undo button, and nothing happens. It seems like Undo is keep track of how many things it can undo, but it doesn't actually do them. For instance: I start up DCME, load a map. Use the selection tool to select an area of tiles. Then move those tiles somewhere. The Undo button becomes active, and I can click it 4 times before it deactives, but it does not undo anything. The tiles that were moved are not undone back to their original place.
