For some reason, when opening a map, or even sometimes when creating a new one, while having the Pencil tool selected... it draws a line from 0,0 to the center of the map where your cursor is, calling tons of errors because the undo hasn't been initialized yet... !@#$%^&* FORBIDDEN WORDS I CANT TYPE ANYTHING... so i'll just say it's fixed

Here's a compiled version of what we have done so far... alot of cool things have been done since 1.2.90, but there are still too many small bugs to make it a public release... There is no tool yet to create regions, but you can select something and create a new region with that selection in the Edit -> eLVL attributes... dialog Note how the radar switches to "full map view" mode when it's not big enough to be useful Also try the popup tileset and popup radar when the right panel is hidden. Yes I know the radar hides as soon as you click on it... that has to be fixed. As soon as that is fixed, and that we make a region tool, version 1.3 will probably be released... …

I just recently updated my DCME from an older version, and I find it's a lot better. However, having used it a bit, I've encountered the following problems: -Sometimes, after doing a lot of editing, I decide to hide the right navbar. Instead of giving me a larger map area, it displays what was previously there (meaning the radar, tileset, etc). Even if I minimize+maximize again, it'll display what's on my desktop. Is there any way to prevent this? -One thing I always liked about SSME is that it gave a bigger map area, I know I can just hide the right side, but I still need the tileset to do my work and I liked moving the tileset around incase it would hide something. …

Suggestion: eLVLs 1 2

Using grelminar's extended LVL format (http://wiki.minegoboom.com/index.php/ELVL_Format) you can embed regions and comments into a .lvl file. It would be nice if you could create and modify these using DCME.

So, like, what is going on? Any LVZ support on the horizon? Any development on DCME at all?

Found three bugs on the spot; one of them is an old one. Surprised it hasn't been fixed/noticed yet. http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/DCME-Error6-Overflow.jpg Hold your CTRL button while zooming in and out. When zooming in, the last 'Zoom-in' while holding the CTRL button while give you this error; a few short laggy seconds later it zooms in as normal. Problem: Gives the error and has some latency before continuing to zoom its last time closer. Second bug --added to known bugs http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/star-glitch.gif Angle is 0. I caught that in a split second, then tried to replicate it and get it to hold; I did. Not perfect when it should be - that's a horizontal line!…

I updated my DCME through the client, successfully downloaded and installed. I launch the client and get this error: http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/DCME-1290-LaunchError.gif I redownloaded it through HTTP and got the same error; v1.2.9.0 is a complete dud.

Yep... With TileText.. or TextTiles... whatever... support plus a lot of minor improvments here and there... Expect another minor release ( 1.2.91 ) soon, as there are a couple of things being fixed right now.. like some bugs that were unnoticed yet (muwhahaha). Check for updates, it should be easy to auto-install this update, if you have any problems, tell us. File should also be attached in this forum in the next minutes.

- Typing over an special object such as big asteroid or wormhole screws up the wormhole, which makes the map inconsistent and DCME will probably crash sooner or later - If you've turned off the "create new map at startup", then the toolbar buttons are not correctly disabled. (Which isn't really such a big issue because i put checks in them if there is an active map, but it shouldn't be like that) Why do i keep finding bugs when i want to make the new version

Ok, so most tileset have the alphabet and usually 1-10 numeric tiles in them. Now i know u have the text to tile function, but what if u could define which tiles are your Alphabetic/Numeric ones? This could perhaps standardize tilesets. This could be done by say reserving the top 2 rows for Alphabetic/Numeric tiles. Or allow the user to define the rows/areas of their Alphabetic/Numeric tiles? From which when you want to write something with these tiles you basicly do what you do now with Text to tile, but it references the tiles and uses those tiles to write each letter? I dont know if this could end up being a slow function, but most ppl will agree if you are goi…

when you changed int(a/ into a\b, you'll have to see if b is an integer. If b can be a decimal number it will make that division to a => integer, b=>integer, then divide and change to integer. So any divisions by a decimal are now screwed up. (Cogwheel & Star used them a lot) Didn't know that either, but i get a lot of divisions by zero because it divides by 0.3 or so and it rounds to 0 Don't use integer divisions if floating poitn operations are involved, you lose a lot of accuracy

I have found a way to update from / commit to the repository without tortoiseSVN, so I can now work on DCME when I want to I use the command-line based Subversion program... but I made myself some interface in VB to work with it easily.. so I have my "View changes" , "Checkout" and "Commit" buttons that generate and run custom .bat files for ez map editor editing

I don't get any feedback from these features... so I'm thinking that either noone knows about it, noone cares about it, noone uses it, or noone likes it... There are a couple of bugs in the tile editor that annoy me, mostly concerning copy / pasting. It uses windows clipboard so you can copy from DCME and paste in another program, and the opposite 'should' work too, but thats the bugged part... the selection size doesnt always adjust correctly so... Anyways, I just want to know what to do if I want it to be used more

I dont know if this is only me, but whenever i click on a tile w/ the pencil tool, it changes the tile below it instead of the highlighted one. I have also noticed this problem when u use a huge pencil or eraser.

I remember changing this: For i = 0 To UBound(hmnu) hmnu(i) = GetSubMenu(mainmnu, i) Next to For i = 0 To UBound(hmnu) hmnu(i) = GetSubMenu(mainmnu, i + 1) Next (in frmGeneral's SetIconsToMenu sub) because for some reason it seemed to consider the "menu" represented by the drake icon just to the left of "File" ; i.e. "File" was hmnu(1), instead of hmnu(0) but now, I needed to switch it back because hmnu(0) IS "File" now... so wtf... does it depend on VB version? what happens when compiling? which one to use... i'm confused

Add an arrow option to draw arrow's. Add the options: Type (drop down menu): 1: <=======> 2: <------------> 3: <...............> 4: <||||||||||||> 5: --------------> 6: ========> 7: ..................> 8: ||||||||||||||> (if you know what i mean ) And an option Angle and Size. It allows you to draw an arrow like the line tool (specifi length by drawing it on the map) and the Size option is for the widh and size of the > from the arrow. - Witchie NL

Drake has made some new cool mapping tools... A new tool, the Custom Shape tool, can be used to draw n-sides polygons (any width, any angle), or to draw some preset shapes: so far we have a cogwheel shape and a star shape, both with all the adjustments you need... All these updates, and much more, should be available for download soon stay tuned
