XDOOM> Mage - the map I can not open for some reason I upraded my DCME the other day, so try installing the latest version. ...I'm watching the lvz form, and I just can't figure out how it should be... Any ideas on how the interface should allow you to: -Add/Remove lvz files -Add/Remove files from each of these lvzs -Define ImageObjects (IMAGE#=file....) in each of these lvzs (note, files arent always from the same lvz) -Add mapobjects/screenobjects in each lvz, !@#$%^&*ociate them with ImageObject definitions from the same lvz, and define their properties For now we have a treeview that shows lvz's and their files... but then, to do object definition stuff, i dunno... Ok, so i put elvl in my map and it worked( )but now when i play that map on continuum, it doesn't have auto warp or anything. any ideas? Also, why can't you save elvl with defaulttileset? Also also, why did all my elvl disapear(this isn't related to the first problem, i redid elvl) and then get by rTil or something? ty

LVZ importing is slowly coming together... haven't got any time to work on that during the week... so... hmm... still a couple of lines to write before I can test that... I hope it works on the first time (but I doubt it will)

Uploaded build 2.1 (follow link at bottom of post) ... consider it as an official build, but it might not last long because Drake is working on LVZ, and version 3.0 will probably come out soon. I just wanted to make that one available now because there were 2 critical bugs fixed since 2.0 (and a couple of cool features...) ... So yeah.. im kinda tired now too... so I attached the file in that other topic... and now I'm too lazy to move it at the correct place... But emm... When I open a map edited with SSME, everything works fine. As soon as I make changes, save the map with DCME, close DCME then attempt to reopen the map (again, in DCME), I get an error stating the map is corrupt but it will be opened anyway, then the editor locks up. The map causing the issues is attached. Don't mind the content; there's a couple of inside jokes that only some MG vets would get. handicap2.lvl

The note about putting the msinet.ocx file in the DCME directory only works if the user doesn't have a previous version of it. If an older version exists in system32, that version will be used regardless of the version in the DCME directory.

Ok... just tested a few very weird stuff... 1-Walled wormhole... you get sucked on it, but cant get warped 2-OMFG LOL... dug a hole in that space station with flyunder tiles... GG 3-OMFGAJGAD... you gotta see this... fly under tiles over a wormhole... I cant get warped by it, but it still attracts me and... bombs get attracted like 1314534 times more by it (or maybe because they get much closer to the center, since they dont get sucked it..) and they turn around the wormhole, gaining speed, until they fly away reaaaal fast... wow that\\\'s cool... and the same thing happens to my ship if i go through it too fast 4- I also tried saving 2 different tiles at …

Ok, i was forum looking and wasn't satisfied so i'll post my own. When i open a map that i recently edited the tileset it says that it is corrupt and some of the tilesets won't be loaded, even thought i will open. now when i opened a un!@#$%^&*led map, the bricks are black, although this isn't the biggest deal. i spent quite a lot of time making the corners have corner tiles instead of the bad meeting with out corner tiles and added half a base. maybe you could debug it like you did before with my elvl problem. i'll attach the picture and map and map tileset data. oh yeh, i tryed to edit in paint to make it to normal settings but nothing happened. i tried 256 bit map …

finally after 2 months of no updates, v2 has finally been released. I chose v2 instead of v1.3 becuase of some major new features such as test map, elvl, completely redone undo/redo (well sama did that entirely, and also finished elvl and test map where i started ) So start shooting comments & suggestions here .. or else

I was working with DCME, adding pictures to a map and editing them, and I think I might have messed something up somehow...maybe it had to do with where I was pasting the images on the grid? I don't really know. This is the error I get: Runtime Error '9': Subscript out of range This comes up ~20 seconds after opening the editor and after it does DCME no longer works.

You need to include MSVBVM60.dll and MSINET.ocx with the program. Right now I can't run it until I track down a version of MSINET that is compatible with DCME v2. The other thing you could do is track down an installer creator for VB applications. Any such utility worth using will also include any necessary libraries and update them on the user's machine as required. Get them here

It seems thats my version of DCME (Lastest Update) wont let me save any maps... Says that it saves supposedly and when you open it again it has no map! Zero data? Great looking editor btw, id use it alot if it saved my maps

Well it\'s almost been 2 months since last release. Lots of things have been changed and added, and i wanted to make a prerelease because it will prolly be a while until the final release is done: region tools still need to be added (sama is working on that atm), testmap works \'a bit\' (collision isn\'t 100%, still no way to adjust settings etc). Note that there are probably bugs in it, because the new stuff isnt 100% tested so be a bit careful, but try it out Edit: done, file now with sama updates Edit2: DCME 2.0 pr3 is now available. I officially started work on a new undo/redo system that will allow us to undo anything easily. It will support basically anything... map-related, region-related, and eventually lvz... My comment to the first bug: Sad. Fix the bug first and give me a fixed copy before I continue my debugging. I can't map with that bug popping up every few seconds (I use the zoom/scroll wheel a lot). Scroll Bug http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/DCMEv1292-ScrollBug.gif First open DCME, then start scrolling out with the mouse wheel. The error will be same every time, but different values.
