Some of you will be familliar with Mage+ getting the Maze of Theseus, slapping his own name on it (badly), and having it uploaded to TW. Apparently, the staff got wind of it and removed the map. So, I got permission from Walter to use the unedited Maze of Theseus as a map. I've already got a different version (retiled, text next to the safe, etc) of this on TW development zone. I was thinking that Devastation would also want to get in on the crazy maze action. Now, I DON'T want the attached file uploaded. Couple of reasons for this. 1. I want to use a different tileset. 2. The Flag Settings are being ignored for different settings It should be 25 flags, not 30 Flags can appear on the outside, but there is no map tile or anything to fix that. The flag timer is 30 seconds not the time that it should be The jackpot is ignored, always 1000 points is given. (Unless the jackpot counter was wrong) The deva.conf file seems to have the right settings, so look into that.

I don't wanna hear no more jokes about ASSS. A while ago tm and sos were making stupid jokes about ASSS will probalby never finish. Well I'll tell you, I WILL finnish it. I've already got a working automated duel and Elim and Killrace are working great too, just need to get a database and it'll be working in no time.

Basically, it's a mix between conquer and the basing that Deva is so famous for. The arena consists of four short bases in very close proximity. Every base is identical in design, for two reasons: 1. No unfair advantages 2. It's easier to make The game is played by 2-4 teams, who start the game by each owning one base. The spawn in a room at the end of the base. A short way from the spawn room is the flag room, which holds a single stationary flag. The players attempt to do three things: 1. Defend their own flag from being captured 2. Capture enemy flags 3. Defend their own lives, because this is Conquer. Unlike normal conquer, this game has no captain for each team…

Player Randomizer: Every 2 minutes the bot/module picks one person from each frequency and changes them to the opposte freq excluding players with flags. It would be something new and it would keep people on their toes, plus it might make things a little interesting. The frequencies would have to be locked at all times to prevent hopping back, but I think it's definatly do-able and fun. Current Users In Deva: Have the bot display in the deva chat every x number of minutes with a list of the people's names who are in deva, or maybe implement a cmd that players can use in msg form to inquire about the current users in Deva. Hey I thought of a new buyable item that we may be able to create ... especially for the ASSS development !buy square This creates a square of bricks around your ship for a period of a brick. Ofcourse it would be easy to get repped out of it .. but I think that might be fun in the center ... turn on the brick, make repels matrix mode ... something like that. or This creates a square of bricks around the nearest oppenent ship ... that would be funny ... do that turn on antiwarp so they can't warp ... haha. Please report any bugs that you notice with Devastation's ASSS zone. The zone is currently in testing mode, and only select people have access to it. However, it will soon become public, and new bugs will be found. Apparently flagging is the main point of devastation, there is no debat here , lol BUT i dont like to play for 8hours and then share the win. It just doesnt make sense. From what i have gatherd over the years in subspace is that points mean how you stand in that zone, if your pro or have a noob score. So if a new player who just starts the zone gets in in the last 10min of a big flag game and racks up a 100mill score on a zone win, the balance of ranks among players is all messed up So I prepose coming up with a new system. Im not sure how anyone can just play everyday for hours and then share your bootey with the losers. Just doesnt make any Logical sense (to me) …

I think it would be cool for the bot to keep track of what a player's favourites are: Favorite Ship Favourite Weapon (Bombs/Bursts/Bullets) Favourite Special (Portal,Brick,Decoy) Favourite Base Favourite Game (Goal/Flag) Favourite Enemy (person who they've killed the most) Biggest Nemesis (person who has killed them the most) What would also be cool is a ranking system in the zone, where you are ranked 1st - whatever based on the bi-weekly stats: 1. Kills 2. Total Play Time 3. Losses 4. Points etc And based on how you ended up each week you will get ranked, so that you can see who the best "overall" player is, instead of something thats just individual.

Just another idea floating in my mind, event points. For each event you get an event point. There won't be a use for there (yet?), it's just like a post count, but instead of count I chose to name them points so people would like to get as many as possible. Maybe I'll also add a counter to record how many events you won. tm, I want your comment too

Quiz trivia bot, when there is a reasonable amount of people a mod could host a quiz. like first person who answers 5 questions right wins. it is different and i think it would be cool, !buy prox - for like 30 million credits. i think this would be popular because with prox in deva you would be very powerful also i think proximity bombs would be a good prize, after somebody wins a prized event.

Now heres just a few ideas for some events here in Devstation. Capture the flag: Simler to flagging, only now, two bases, a semi maze in the middle leaking the two bases two together as two teams fight for control over the flag or a ball, to get it back to their base to score. Now we can use flags because we can set one for each team in the bases, thus if your team owns your flag, no one from your team can touch it till the other team does, and same goes the other way. Only probablem is, it'd need to be dropped like a ball, so it can be reset back to the other base. I'm sure with proper bot plug ins this can be done, a map big enough for 6v6 would be nice. 1. New tileset to really spoof things up instead of using the old-fashioned tiles ... meet ourselves up with other zones. 2. New balling capabilites - each team has a goal instead of the current each team uses same goal format. Goal could be better defenable ... base-like such that you can flag and goal in the same base 3. Bonus credits for dropping flags instead of nueting them (ie drop 24 and neut 1) 4. Preventing the neuting of flags (must be dropped ... if neuted they are returned to center) 5. I've been quit busy with school and my new job lately and don't have much time to be computing. Therefore I will quit continuum and the developping of the ASSS zone. I will however make sure it will be as good as deva is now before I leave, so if any new dev guy appears he can add all kinds of cool stuff. I won't be gone forever, it's just a temporary break, I'll try to finish the ASSS zone asap, and then I'll be gone for a while.

Heres an idea for a new event. An event with special ships that are shaped after bugs and randomly each event one person is the human. The human has much more HP/Energy than the bugs. the goal for the human is to kill all the bugs, but the goal for the bugs is to kill the human. So who kills the other first wins. Sort of like a demented version of elim lol.
