Ive come up with an idea for a 2v2 or 3v3 league (depending on turnout ) where the point of the battle is to milk the jackpot to a suitable number (about 20min round) and then win it -the jackpot does not raise after set point as the object of the match is to win the jackpot at that amount example: team 0 takes flags and defends them until points reach -example:30mill ; the jackpot stops rising and it is now legal to win the flags - even if you win the jackpot , it is not a Sure win. whoever has the most points after the flags drop is victorious The game will be played on a smaller scale public map with smaller bases to speed up the rounds --- point scoring --- …

i noticed that you can ?buy items... so why not ?buy burn what is ?buy burn well it burns the items off the closest enemy. ?buy burn - would work best in bases and would work well for chasing the lamer who is trying to win the jp. ?buy recharge - gives you full energy again,

You want to make some bases for Devastation? Go right ahead! I've had some great bases done already by Flyingfinn, Sol Mortis and even Lex! How to do it? Simple. Right here on ssforum under Development is a forum called DCME. That is where you can get the DCME map editor. Then simply load the Devastation tileset from C:\Program Files\Continuum\Zones\SSCB Devastation\devashiu6.lvl and start mapping. You can also just open this file and make your base straight into the Devastation map. This allows you to get a better idea of how big it will be. Requirements for bases: It must be roomy. ok so we've all heard it, we all know the arguments, but lets take another look from a different view. For times when there is an UNAVOIDABLE 2v2 (which is most of the day) we should concider adding ONE private freq to deva. all you have to do is (Removed by me) so.. upside when theres a 2v1 you jsut need 1 person to switch to freq 2 and its solved. downside this relies on player cooperation, which many players lack, so there should have to be a mod present. Neutral if pop is lost, its pop that would be lost if it remained a 2v1 anyways. It would help if a mod was present to enforce switching back to 2 teams when 4 players are in ships. This is …

Since I can't bump the topic; it would be a shame to have larrythehamster's banner go to waste, and the website ( http://deva.sscentral.com ) has been untouched for ages... Some of this was discussed in the "chat log" topic, as well, but I figured it is important enough to separate into its own topic. Currently, flags don't move around very much and are just used as a sort of "tool" to finish the game and cash in. This is bad in many ways, as outlined in the abovementioned topic. The other issue is that it is very easy for players such as myself to grab and run. It is very difficult to catch a runner - even tm mostly fails to catch me My initial thought was that flag carriers should be slowed down. However, this will have side-effects. An Infiltration game base in the middle (totaly symetrycal^^) 1 goal under the base in the 'flag room' of the base lies a ball. The point is for team 1 to hold the base and stop team 0 from taking the ball and scoring set number of times. pretty simple yet fun and do-able

ASSS implication: to be able to buy an item that does this: hold down bomb button for 10seconds and you get a charge shot -!@#$%^&*s bot would attach and fire a bomb (would have to customize the bomb.bmp to make it actauly a charged bomb ;big, blue, cool looking) -lasts untill you die -of course the bomb is 1hit KO (hopefully you can do custom bomb radius to make it big) thanks

The F2 box where it shows your ratio / average make the average a lower multiple kills / deaths like 1/2 , or 3/5 make the ratio somthing that makes sence in this situation because seriously, the numbers now are quite strange and i dont understand them p.s. if anyone could explain them that be great

I've basically just updated the F1 file to provide more accurate details of the current staff. That, plus I added my artistic talent in it. (saved in the file below, feel free to test it before using it if you don't trust me)... I'll provide a screenshot in a bit. Edit: it's also been suggested that Shad0ws, and T-Man be moved to inactive status. And should I add death+? Edit2: I may make a second version tomorrow, adding a list of ASSS commands (for Deva's ASSS zone of course). Edit3: Added ASSS commands lookup (except staff commands), fixed the other one based on suggestions. Looks funny, but meh, it works: commands.lvz

Is Devastation going to get any developers soon? There are no mappers. There are no coders. The only thing happening is tm_master, who keeps getting people to come. But Devastation is very stale on the development end... Any changes coming?

There is no in-game commands list as far as I can see. I have no idea what I can even do. This is not good. The F1 help is terribly outdated. We have ?creds but no ?credits...........
