Hi. I'm back. Where's everyone? Come play with me. I just stopped lagging. Is there any future for this zone or is all hope gone already? I thought I'd play SubSpace until I would be like 40. Damn, I'm only 23. Been lagging since 2001. Now I don't. Not anymore. Where's the pub? Where's the rumble? And all the events? And the leagues? There's still people playing this 2-d game, I saw them, in TW, DSB and others zones but what about 17th? Is there anybody out there? Am I the only one on the 17th Parallel? This is a distress call. Is there anybody out there? Am I the only one, the only one left...? What's happening in the 17th Parallel in 2009? You tell me.

Sorry I havn't been here for the last couple of months is because my computer decided to die, I tryed fixing but still broke. I've managed to get a laptop now (borrowed). So yeah sorry for not being here and I've missed 17th pall. Hope to see all you in game guys.

Hey guys, I've recently put this in a different topic but I'd thought I would put it in it's own. At the moment it's just an idea but I was wondering if 17th could book a date on a weekend such as a weekend event by having it scheduled by staff and hosted by staff . But having Numerous events such as fun events, and tournys too?. If there were more than one event it may be more fun and more people would come for this one off event from other zones who retired this years ago. Thanks for reading, it's just a basic idea at the moment and I kinda don't make sense but all suggestions and opinions welcome, thanks. -Free to move if in wrong section-

A new pub map is up in 17th Parallel. Thanks to kentbrockman for the modifications. Two duel boxes are also available in this map at the bottom. Unless the bot is not up, they should work.

Ok so were finally deciding to put more effort into the revival of 17th, this is where it all starts. You can help customise what you would like 17th to be just by saying what you would like. We would consider it and possibily implement it if we think it's a good idea. If you would like to join everyone who is helping then just join ?chat=17thCB. You can suggest ideas on Pub (whether it be maps, settings, lvz etc...) or even a simple event. You can even design the whole thing yourself for us to revise and consider using. The way the zone turns out could be based on what you guys want / say / do. I will keep updating you guys on what's going on. -Inc

I just set up a mailing list on the site... It's pretty easy to use. Send an email to News-join@17thParallel.com and you'll be subscribed. The title and content of the e-mail is simply ignored. You'll receive a confirmation email with a link to click on, then you'll get a password if you want to change your settings. To leave the group, simply send an email to News-leave@17thParallel.com

How about an attempt to get 17th active, without actually trying? From now on whenever any of my computers are online, I will be sat in 17th pub - regardless of whether anyone else is there. Now, if everyone did this, surely some people will overlap. And if 5 people happen to overlap... suddenly we have a pub. Well, it's worth a go eh?

After being mostly inactive in the zone, being busy with other stuff... I just put together a new map... it uses mostly the same concept, except that it's like 4 different bases, but all in center. I tried to make the layout to concentrate on flag possession. I know some of you want the old map back... just ?go oldmap If I can get some time again to advertise and plan events and such, it could get interesting I think. If anyone wants to help out, you're more than welcome. Someone to schedule events (pub or not) every week-end or so, and host them would be great. Also, the bot plugin for the flag capture is (mostly) fixed. Your team has to hold all 4 flags for a spec…
