I like this new map (excet for the easy access tubes). It's had a side consiquence of nerfing what little power the spider had. Before a spider could hold the two rooms with the passage to the goal. Now the rooms are opened up and spider's prey can easily escape bursts. Spider is definately the weakest ship, but it always had a place on the team. Now with the wide open base access i find it's easier to guard bases/stop goals with a warbird or a lanc. Something needs to be done. As it is now I don't like playing the spider anymore.

Public Settings are used for BPS/BSS. The arena is ?go bestof17th. Best Player in 17th (BPS) Rules 1) BPS Will be held the SATURDAY after a month has ended. Recently there has been a torrent of random speccings that happen at bad times. for example when one is nearing a bounty record, or helping a team at a base, or has just bought bounce. Isnt there a way to save the data that was there before you specced? I had it happen the other day where i was disconnected and when i went back in i had the same bounty as before i was d/c. It would be nice to have something that remembered. This could go into the complaints post but i ffelt it needed a new topic.

Lately 17th has been having way too many sub-arena events. The events themselves are harmless, but the effect they have on pub is not. In order to grow the zone has to attract as many new players as possible, every new player that comes in for the first time, and does not like what he/she sees, is a player who we could have added to our population. When a new player sees 17th on the zone list, and sees that it has 45 players, the player may decide to give it a try. The problem is, we have events so offen that of those 45 players, only 6-7 may be playing in pub (we have too many bots in pub, and too many people idling, but thats another issue).
