The bad: Each time I check f2, the kill ratio reaches a familiar number: 2:3 vs 3:2. The weaker team is always attacking, has no thors/items, and is being farmed... it's basically noob farming/boring and lasts for a little bit, then basing game ends.... And the it's both a certain group, as well as the majority of the good players who the cause this. Sure, the ammo system isnt a horrible idea. But it doesnt seem to be good enough to keep players in the zone. Since the reset occured, the zone population has been steadily declining by the day. Now its to the point where maybe 12 people are actually playing during our peak times (Approx. 7pm). This is getting abysmal. Honestly I like the ammo system, it adds another interesting dynamic to the game which is unprecedented for subspace zones. On the other hand, the statistics are showing that its greatly affecting our population and at this rate, its just going to be 15 speccers playing idlerpg all day long by themselves. Basically, its playable as opposed to earlier. Priv freqs are gone, however the same mentality isn't: players looking to rig the system for as much money as possible, and this never leads to a playable game. The devs could do the best job, the problem is that there are players who are looking to subvert each implementation that the devs put in to make the game more playable, and they these players do this in order to make lots of money. I would just like to thank you all for inventing this really fun zone!! I tried playing it in the past but I could never get into it. Then unix told me that this zone was sobmuch better then mg. So I was hmmmm how can this zone be possibly fun when it is hard to kill people starting off. Well she told me some great tips and strategies on how hs works and like all of a sudden I'm hooked on this zone because I can kill people better. I've played various zones in the past and... I have to say, I like what has been done with this zone. So I want to give some feed back on the game from what I have seen. I noticed a lot of devs and players do not have the best ... interactions in the zone, but this post that I am writing is only to inform what I have experienced playing, it isn't meant to ciritize, yet that doesn't mean that it will not have critical analysis. What basing is all about these days: as you can see, all basing right now is exchanging of massive thorstorms back and forth, atkers dont even try going in base now. nearly everyone have thors that they just fire at nme freqs. We've moved to a new server along with HZ. Hopefully the new server will eliminate the lag issues many players have been experiencing. Make sure to redownload the zone list. Hyperspace should update automatically when you press ok.

The new ammo system is really just a maintenance system. But instead of adding to the fun of the zone, it adds to the tedious and repe!@#$%^&*iveness of the least enjoyable part. When you buy a new car and get all the cool gadgets for it, even if you're a wrench-head, the fun is in actually DRIVING the car. Not in filling it up with gas. I love the new items, ty Arnk... however I hate the ammo, as do other people who will hopefully post here. Harpy missile takes 15 bomb ammo per shot, which is 100 shots, not too bad.. but how can you bounty if you have to run to a safe and ammo shop every 100 shots? I"m sure tacnuke and others cost even more. I find the ammo system to be ridiculous, please I ask.. may it be reverted? It is stupid for firing bombs to cost energy as well as ammo.. one or the other.

OkOK Guys. I know you all hate the annoying ammo system, and don't want to pay hundreds of K's in cash on extending your ammo limit, but here are a few tips to make it less annoying. Tip #1 Make sure "?buy gun ammo" is set as a quick macro. This can be done by typing it in the chat, and pressing Shift+F1 (or f2 or f3). Now whenever you press Shift+F1 it will type that and press "Enter" instantly. So you pop in safe, macro, and your good to go. Tip #2 The ammo stores are there for a reason, and made small. !@#$%^&*o everyone, Recently, I have been getting specced for excessive ping while playing in the HyperSpace zone (HS), just over (e.g. You have been specced for excessive average server-to-client ping: 251 ms breaks the limit of 250) . This has only been happening recently,since around January. This is slightly ironical, as I just had my internet connection upgraded to 5 MB/s (but then it is server-to-client ping that is over). Talking to other HS players, I have found that many of them also have experienced this. I think that HS should have 2 public arenas to handle the overcrowding that is experienced at the moment. If possible, maybe have one arena with the current settings and another with the old settings (before the reset) and see how it goes.

I've been tinkering around with the flag modules lately looking at ways to improve gameplay, and I have a couple of ideas that should help take away control of rogue players on teams. The first is adding a command like ?forceneut. If there is a single flag carrier on your team, you can use the command to vote for their flags to be neuted. Once a majority of the team votes to force neut, all of the flags that are currently carried by the flagger are neuted. To help squads along, we're offering the following rewards starting within a couple of weeks (to give you all time to organize): Squads with at least 5 active members (minimum experience level to be determined by us) will get the following: One fully equipped Lancaster with FTL of their choice.
