Very simple. Define an acceptable threshold for tking. Optimal would be to add up friendly fire damage but doubt thats possible. Basically set a threshold, idk 5 10. Not sure what's acceptable as I rarely if ever tkd someone. Obviously turrets are not counted. If someone reaches said threshold they are spec ed and not able to join either flag freq until the match is over.

Alright, HS players. Here's the thing. Right now, we're using the map "pspub13" - it has bases from myself, CoreX48, and Full Killer. I'm working on "pspub15" right now, because it's a big project. For pspub14, I'm probably only going to put one base of my own into it. I'm depending on submissions from others for this map. pspub15 will be all of my own work, and will set a higher standard from there on out for maps in this zone. By the time we hit pspub16, I'll be accepting base submissions again. I'm granting 50K per base used per map. Some of you have had some great ideas in the past for the way bases should be, and I think I'd like to see some of you make bases…

I had posted this in silver bullets thread but i think it got lost and should have its own thread. Since turrets kills now count as your kills i think you should only get exp for thier kills if you did somthing skillful. Turrets should have a 'targeting cone' where they can only fire in the general direction of the host. say +- 5 ticks (to cover a 90 degree angle)? This way the host still needs to aim, but get extra firepower of turret. Could also sell a rear facing turret that will still be limited to 90 degrees but would protect the rear. I think this will make the turrets no longer super over powered in center, but they will still have their punch in base.

Few things to note here(perhaps in a slightly humorous/satiric way): Tempests are not "new player" friendly. Example: "So we have been gifted with Starter Kit. Thats great! WRONG!!!! You guys might remember me, but, if not, I'm an on-and-off long-term player with some game design experience from my RL career. I keep trying to come back to Hyperspace, the only Continuum zone I've loved for all these years, but I can't. Simply put, the newbie experience is horrible. I've grinded through a ton of resets, as we all have, but I swear it's getting worse despite positive changes. I like getting 10 xp for kills early on, and the starter kit is great, and it's not even money that's the problem really, though I suspect it will be eventually... There is to much green in my chat. So much my brain filters it out and i miss important things. All zone messages are green. Mods will announce in green. And personal messages are in green. Can the ball, kill and enter/exit messages be made the same color as public chat? It really isn't an assumption when i write words like 'probably' it means i am open to the possibility of it not being true, and just waiting for you to clarify. Also does Tempest use any energy at all? Aim bot would seem fine if it wasn't also a spam bot. Seems to fire bombs none stop.. no energy loss? Can't you just make it use energy like normal bombs, so people will have to ?buy recharge builds to supply power to the Tempest?

Ask anyone. Centering against these things has become a drag. Tempest may look balanced on paper, but the amount of effort it takes to kill an AFK lanc is beyond ridiculous. We realize that Tempest has a minrange. Lancs aren't as weak as you think, though. The better players have Phaser + afterburn for fighting at close.

Its actually quite easy, just ?flag and start collecting flags and dropping them into a base. Usually you have to turn on the tunes but it definetly gets everyone's attention and at first you may arouse 1or 2 to jump into an opposing freq and once that happens you get rewarded. So drop them in t least 3 bases to ensure they aren't collected imediately . Sit back, or defend and watch some temporary cash flow. Its a lot less mindless than running the ball and with a lot of ppl its way more profitable plus it will usually incite a flag game. Just an idea, possibly impractical but the idea is each freq has a limited amount of points. Each ship including certain upgrades.. cough* turrets cough* ... are worth a certain amount of points. So say for example a lanc is worth 20 and a tempest is worth 10 and freqs only have 50 points. That leaves only 20 left so another lanc with tempest couldn't be on the same freq. Or rather than the resources be static, limit it by current pop so if there's only a few ppl on than you cant dominate center with a lanc and turret or at least you won't have anyone else on your freq watching your back. I'll probably need SpiderNL to chime in ifor this thread, he knows the details of this idea better than I do. I just figured it's about time ot haven an organized discussion about it all. Basically, there may be a "turf" style flagging gametype implemented into the zone. For the most part, this isn't going to affect basing, but who knows - that's why this thread is here. In this new gametype, there would be approximately 5 flags distributated evenly throughout each base. The jackpot reward would be based more on, "Which team did better," as opposed to "which team overwhemled the other, first." I'm completely for this change. I think it has a lot of potential. This…

1. Tempest turret should be removed from the game, it is op in c, and demorializes team with team kills in base. 2. See-bombs should be added to Oracle, buying Combat with Oracle makes your radar unusable. 3. Burst bullets should be treated as same as level 4 bullets for all armors. 4. Lancs should be able to buy cat core, for the occasional lancer or the early in reset lanc.

How many people use the laser stabilizer? What are your thoughts on it? I gave it a try, i thought it would be nice to be able to basically change guns in mid game. Either high power/low power depending on situation. That part works ok. But the bomb delay on it is like 3 seconds, and the stealth uses a lot of energy. So are a sitting duck most of the time, cant recharge and cant repel effectively. It also toggles on/off so never know if it is up or down, i find myself keep looking up at that energy bar instead of where i shoud be. This week is Thanksgiving and Black Friday, so many people (US) will have the following days off of work/school. During this time maybe more mod activity in hosts or some new events would be beneficiary. Would be pretty neat to have some kind of "special" event(s) going on.
