When I first played the game, lets just ignore the fact there were privs and look at basing itself. There were VERY long gunlines (5+ seconds at least), shrapnel from bombs made "bomblines" everywhere, rigged base 3 and base 5 (in the context of bomblines). But, repels were stronger and lasted longer, which meant a coordinated and well built team could break them... basically, a good priv. (There were also spammable bricks, which got changed into consumables and had to be bought from base 8.) These days, 2 thors could be on every ship, and bomb radius damage was bigger then today. We have turrets, now all we need is, like, 10 Warbird AI ships in center gunning at you for money (maybe not exp... they should count as 0 exp in their formula). They could all be on the same team (to help them out) so there'd be 10 AI ships gunning at anyone who steps out of safe. Whaddya say?

Bricks have 2 uses, 1. to block an enemy bomb line so your own bombers can get set up 2. end games by keeping attacking team on other side of a wall (if thats what you want, play in zone with zero pop) 1 is great, 2 is horrible. Option 2 is used when both teams are fully engaged, determined, and taking over the flag room. In a game like this you cant afford even 1 dropper and the flag room keeps changing hands (which is my definition of a good game). Good games are rare. I would like to see bricks act as walls enemy bullets/bombs only. But let enemy ships fly right through. That or put a 5 minute delay on deployment.

would be cool to see giga superbuffed and made lanc specific. it could replace what ripper achieves but also require input from the player. one small step away from turrets, one giant leap for mankind. and it's not like anyone uses giga anyways

1. Decide if you're making the ship center- or base-oriented. 2. Choose a signature that would work best for your choice. Obviously, you probably don't want to use Semiwarp in a basing ship when you could instead use a signature reactor. 3. Look at the ?iteminfo for your signature item. Look at the perks it gives you. Buff Money Newbies Make The curve should start very high for low exp players. Make Stronger Guns Currently guns aren't strong enough to hold off the enemy. I recommend a DPS increases of 10%, or a ship health decrease of 5%. More Bomblines Bomblines are exciting if done right. Better Rushing Ships HS needs better rushing ships imo. This allows the good players to overrun the enemy, allowing more skill to take place in flag games. The key here is that this needs to happen more skillfully then not, hence my recommendation on reducing the ships energy by 5%. However, I also recommend increases the rusher's DPS. When you buy space mines(space/string) or laser stabil you are left with out a bomb. In order to neut flags need to kill yourself or your teammates and having no bomb at all really sucks. Instead of having bomb energy be 10000 can it be reduced to say 650 or so? so you can fire a bomb but its kinda crazy to do so.

The thing that makes this zone better than all the other flagging zones is antideath. That item defines this zone and makes it fun. Turrets basically nerf ad. Lets say you are in a small, you know your ad is active, you charge the enemy and manage to ad behind them. Before turrets this was a big deal. But now the lanc just sits where he was (does not need to back up or turn around) and his ripper poofs you before you become visible. Say you are in a med and did a great job of dieing in a spot near the enemy but out of the gun line. Before some (but usually all) ships would have to aim at you which stopped the gun line. ok centering is stupid against lancs. how many times can anyone say they took down an op lanc in center all by themselves? it is impossible to take one down in a smalls. other than centering, smalls are pretty useless and lancs, even op mids ruin the centering, dogfight experience. rather than a duel arena simply make the center inaccessible to at least lancs. lancs can only access the stores and bases.

Somthing needs to be done about thors. Thors used to be used to softening the enemy before a rush. Now they are used to clear the other team. If have 3-4 thoring players firing constantly it will wipe out the entire other team. I have been on sending and receiving end of this. Basically one person starts thoring and everyone changes into their thor ship and chips in.
