League Rules

After week one of the pre-season, there were a few bugs. Not sure about the match I played in, but the one I refereed in was rather hectic. There are mainly 3-4 issues about the rules. 1) Lag outs -Let's give a set amount of times and then a penalty of some sort if it does happen. 2) Safety -No camping and no going back in, if you do penalty. 3) Process -I was all four doing halves and rounds, but after actually going through it and everything, it is kinda tedious. To keep the procedure somewhat the same... Instead of halves, we just do rounds of ten minutes with the score reseting, but then at the same time you can get the bonus in between the rounds to boost up…

Unix is going to be an assistant coordinator as I have been busy. She is going to help manage the day to day scheduling etc... I will continue to manage the rules.

Is there a way we can kinda nerf brick spamming? Its kinda getting absurd to the point that it utterly kills flag games and eventually becomes tetris wars. Possible options, some being extreme... -Get rid of bricks (extreme, and personally dont like even though I dont even use bricks) -Penalty for having the brick mount or holding a certain bricks so that its harder to lay at the least (like -1 energy or -5 repel) -Shorten the length of time the brick is there (right now the timer on bricks is about as long as it takes to ?tw to base and get more bricks) -Make bricks have holes in some spots.. Instead of ooooo make it oo oo so sparse brick would be even more spars…

I think it would be neat if at the end of every fg, the players of the winning team cast 1 vote each (maybe ?vote name) on who they thought deserved a 5% bonus. also, 4:31CST 1d10t> could have ppl donate into a jackpot for said mvp, that way its just not free money given out..you'd actually have to care about your vote ^or even, by casting a vote you agree to donate 1% of your own prize.

Seeing as how the 1/2 off sale is done, is anyone willing to tell everyone else what you bought on the sale, if anything?

Only 2 or 3 basic pages are left, but I have decided to launch it ahead of time to get our Community News Project alive and kicking! Community News Project? Thats right. You post news, we approve it, and you help us drive SubSpace Online's news section. ANYONE can post news as long as they follow the rules (basic but of course sadly will expand) and it is about SubSpace. So check out the site, lemme know if anything is broken (Beyond 3 pages not yet finished, and I think DCME has 1 or 2 to go too), and maybe submit some news! I keep hearing people complain about how they duel, but don't pay up. I was thinking a simple chatnet bot could fix this. If each player could ?give money to the bot, the bot could track who kills who and when the set number of kills prior to beginning is complete, give the winner the money. Also, if someone leaves, they forfeit and the guy who stayed gets money. All you would have to do is track: KILLS LEAVE (If player dips) Amount of money given to bot Commands: !help, !ready, and ?give name Example: BDwinsAlt> ?give 20000 Ceiu Ceiu> ?give 20000 BDwinsAlt Bot would send, TO CEIU: BDwinsAlt has wagered 20000 to duel, to accept type ?give 20000 BDwins…

I have written a bot with chatnet protocol that conforms to the rules. For the most part. The only thing is at the end of a 4v4 round, it sends stats. Let me explain what the bot does before you consider this. Unix asks me to right a good 4v4 bot. I don't know how the existing one works, but this one seems to work fine. I have tested it extensively and can't seem to find any bugs, but it may need some new features. This is how I have it setup // Stafflist is in config file, so players can't use this unless in the config file. Staff CMD: !go (arena), !shutdown Player CMD: !about, !help, !version.... (Obvious functions) Player CMD: !rules, !time, !begin Rules: D…

Don't load up the flagging freqs if you're not flagging. It's a waste of people(who want to flag)'s time. Then they quit, another person joins types ?flag and gets stuck on your utterly useless flagging freq. This happens over and over again until the time passes when there could be a whole freq full of people who want to flag, except they're not because you're dumb. Also, ragequitting. If you're going to do it, do it properly. [ESC]+s or [ESC]+q Both of these are acceptable (secret!) key combinations that effectively show your willingness to quit. Anything less is you wasting time and space on a flagging freq. I understand some of you might be a little scawed b…

Last night A while ago I spent a few hours throwing together a quick Last Man Standing bot to help assist in running league matches and pracs. And, as I'm sick of seeing gambling bots, I figured I'd share it with the rest of you. Maybe you jerks will learn a thing or two and I won't have to put up with abortions like UB-Game or UB-Girlfriend anymore. The package includes everything you need to compile and/or run it. There's not a lot of documentation, but the design is solid and you should be able to follow what's going on without much difficulty. If you find a bug or two in there (as I imagine you should), let me know so I can fix it before league. -C Repost updat…

I just was the victim of the worst case of lameass I've seen outside of T3G. Its a variant of the 'keep opening hypergate to prevent people from using it in the other direction' trick except this time you open the hypergate and then drop a cage brick dead center. Then when the attacking team goes through, they are warped inside the cage. If the defenders don't manage to shoot them up, the attacking team is *still* stuck in that spot until the hypergate cycles, opens up, and sends them *back* to the hypertunnel. In short, cages shouldn't drop inside the hypergate.

I lost 200k transferring money shortly before a server crash. According to Cerium, he finds it shady that I had two clients on at once (one of them was a chatnut instance) and has no way of verifying that this actually happened. It seems really ridiculous to me that it is so possible for this to happen (what with server crashes usually happening more than twice a day) and having no way of gaining money lost in this way back. That is all.
