We all have seen that Cheese is either really bad at making bots or really good at making scam bots. Which it is we'll never know, as he'd rather verbally attack you than talk about it. So, rather than fight with a troll, I'm counter-trolling by releasing the source to a bot that does exactly what Cheese claims his does. As a way to reduce equipment stagnation, why not implement the kill counter found in parasite/shell into other items? Some examples of the concept (pardon the unimaginative names): Parasitic equipment a pea shooter that morphs into lvl 2 gun after X kills a gimped SOP with 2 bombs that increases the number of bombs every X kills (to a preset maximum) a pathetic sublight that increases thrust/max speed every X deaths (to a preset maximum) armor that increases damage taken, but slowly improves its defensive capabilities when deaths and kills both pass X a certain addon that allows a ship to morph into ship 8 (unbuyable) after X kills If the idea is popular enough, item…

I really don't know who allowed CommanderHB2 to become a Junior Mod. He is probably the very last person to EVER be allowed as any type of Mod for this game! My IGN is "charmed3" by the way. I haven't played in a while, but reading some recent posts, it looks like some of the same issues still exist. I was thinking about ways to tweak game balance and thought this one up. Karma device: Upon death, has a 5-25% chance (higher % with lower experience) to destroy your killer and gaining appropriate experience and money. However, it passively reduces your bounty to 0 and halves all earned experience and money. Hey there I used to play Hyperspace semi-regularly sometime ago (can't remember my old username though, twas on a different computer I think - so I made a new account. I hope that's acceptable under these conditions) All I remember is that I stopped playing because for some reason I started lagging out every time I tried to play, and then I pretty much just forgot about it I just remembered it today and decided to try playing again, but I keep getting specced for ping fluctuation and it's making the game pretty much unplayable. I'm aware of typical methods of reducing lag, but nothing's working so far. I haven't had any trouble connecting to any other online games, so…

Here I think of ways to make HS more fun. Center - Make Turreting better for pub freqs It is hardly worthwhile right now, why do it with only 2 people attached? Ok, maybe some would, but if pub freq limits were raised to 5 turreting would happen more often. Sure there's been problems with turrets before, but all people had to do was make another lanc turret to counter. That or have a bunch of people fire bombs at it. - Allow Summon and flags to work in mini Basing in mini is more stupid idea than picking a sector base, considering how small it is and all. Why not have it be a possible base for flags? Letting people "base" in mini, with working summon, could be nice…

I'm trying to make an LVZ for a possible flashbang field, and it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could find the old flashbang LVZ if they have it. Kinda to go with the entire base theme idea of "retro bases" or whatever. How about we do more theme style bases? Fun House Bases - Bases that ignore conventional ideas of basing. Random tiles to block thors all over the base. Random tiles that trap your weapons. (So yeah can insta kill anything with a burst if you trap it in there). Boxes made of invisible tiles so you can be protected. Idk, lots of things. Could also have transportation areas where it brings you to completely different part of base, but is still part of the one path method that we currently have so you dont get lost. Is there a chance we can disable this? This might be something that is actually hurting the game more than anything right now. Some of the things should still be in place though. Such as if you're not flagging you will be specced. Right now, we actually are getting some population, but the problem comes that no one is flagging because they're all on their own priv freqs. Put them on the flagging freqs first - Then if they want to go on their own freq, have them do it themselves.

Energy scanner is a tool used by vulchers to attack people when their energy is low. It has no counter. So. here's an idea for a new emitter item: Energy Scrambler Emitter Instead of displaying the normal recharge energy, this is replaced by a number that counts up from 1 to 200 and then cycles back. This makes the target always appear as though it is "in the red" energy-wise, but it actually may be at full strength. Vulchers will now find themselves attacking someone with this device and be very sorry. A simpler implementation of this might be to just show full energy all the time. Anyway , the idea is to deceive energy scanner users.
